Yup. I have been using a small six card rig to provide computing power to train machine learning models for a while now. Most of my hardware is mining but I like learning alternate use cases for my hardware so it has been a great learning experiment for me so I can pivot seamlessly in the event gpu mining becomes unprofitable again.

Super Smart for Core Algos. Namely for guys operating under an LLC who can write off the full purchase price for next years taxes. I got one too, the ASUS Dual with the big cooler for $599. Great on Nicehash for BTC (Iron Fish). I have 6 x 4070s and 3 x 4070 Tis currently. Really looking forward to the dual fan 4070 Ti Super with the bigger memory bus and more cores that can fit in an Octominer. I think the 4070 Ti Super will do very well dual mining core/mem algos as compared to the lower models.

Good move. Ain't no eth hash miner but it kills it on lot of other algos and runs really cool under 65 and small as crap.. 225mm .. the one u got is 3-5% less then a 3090, 15-18% more then 4070..

I don't think gpus are going to be as scarce as some ppl say. There is no chip shortage, in fact there is a small chip oversupply right now. There are a ton of used cards out there to help absorb the demand and there are no supply chain problems this time around. I think prices will go up but I don't think it will be hard to get cards in general thi bullrun.

I hear ya. Lots of used supply in the bear run (now). If okfer gpus start making $3-$4 though, forget about it.
@DjMines I think that will effect price but idk if it will be enough to effect supply like the last run. Too many crazy situations popped up all together to make that happen and I don't think lightning will strike twice. Prices will go up but I jst don't see supply being an issue.

Whoever has existing hardware in 2025 is going to win. What’s different this cycle is the demand AI applications will bring ALONG with the crypto boom.
Nothing dumb about it. It is still consider an Asset with good value. you can mine with it, wait for bull, sell it for around 1200$. or just hook it to your gaming pc. I just bought 3 used 3070 for good deal, I can sell them in bull run probably for around 800$ each. that's the beauty of mining.

@@DjMines agreed but anyone spending that money should probably wait until its like only 1000 days to pay off 🙃 WHen I was buying them like crazy it was still only like 400 days to pay off when they were $1200 bucks. So to me it is still way too much money to simply hope a run is coming soon... wait for the 5070 at this rate... if things change and suddenly its 1200 day payoff, sure, makes sense to buy... maybe... ha
ROI fluctuates daily with the coin price and the sale price of the GPU. Right now, on Iron Fish my 4070 Super is doing $0.74 in revenue and $0.43 in profit via NiceHash payouts in BTC. I paid $637 for it this morning at 9 am. Assuming nothing changes my $0.43 in profit will pay the GPU off in 1,483 days. Not great. But I'll sell this GPU in 2 years for an assumed price of $375 - $400 in 2 years. So long as the coins it mints do more than $235 - $275 in 2 years, I win. But regardless, i mine under an LLC so the $637 is an immediate write off for my business which always comes in handy come April of each year.

Not a good move. It's over priced and under specified. There are good reasons why these cards are selling so poorly. Especially with much better priced and specified AMD alternatives available. These cards are already selling for under MSRP in Europe, since most people aren't fooled and just aren't really buying these cards in significant numbers. There won't be good resale value for these. Sorry dude, but you got played.

That’s the big thing miners just don’t understand and it boggles my mind how stupid they are to spend tens of thousands on hardware just to make a lot less and go through the hassle of setting up and maintaining the hardware.
I think perhaps it’s to feed the illusion that they are “working” and they can show their friends and family their big brain money making machine. Make more, work less by buying directly.
@@50rads I bought a lot during the middle of the last bull run. Between that, tax breaks as a "business" and heating my house in the winter its been pretty good. I haven't bought a GPU in a year however... crazy to buy them now in my opinion if used just for mining. I'm helping to heat my home right now... ha

@@50rads yes! I'm not alone, for example if I bought kaspa coin instead of GPUs so I would have over 5M kaspa coins for 1000$ in 2022.... That makes me already rich.... Ohh man buying GPUs are wasting money
