- At the end of our cruise to Hawaii, we got off the ship and headed to Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Ko Olina.
We check in to a 1 bedroom villa island garden view and spend the afternoon going around the lazy river. For happy hour we head to Monkeypod and then have a painting class. To finish our evening, we grab more apps in the Olelo Room before calling it a night!

Late to the party but would you recommend the cruise and 3 days at Aulani or just do longer time at Aulani and forego the cruise?? Love your videos I’ve been binging them the last few days
Ooooh that’s a tough question because there are SO many factors. I LOVED the cruise and am so happy we did it - I love cruising with Disney Cruise Line, but it was also a great way to see islands I’ve never been too.
I would think it would come down to these factors:
1) Budget. What makes the most sense? With the cruise you have expenses of excursions, or exploring on your own. With Aulani, you have more food to cover for more days. Is one totally out of the question or is there a way to do both.
2) Other Islands. How important is it to you to visit other islands (and Vancouver).
3) Cruising. Have you cruised before? Do you enjoy cruising? 10 nights is a long time, but it’s also so special being on a ship with the crew for that long.
Having done it, I wouldn’t change what we did. I feel like it’s easier to go back to Aulani than island hop. Plus I LOVED our time in Vancouver and we wouldn’t have gone if it wasn’t for the cruise.
@@ivie_anne you are so sweet!! I love this breakdown and definitely something to consider!! I think the way you guys did it is the best way because you have a nice vacation, a lot with hopping, but then a short break again at Aulani. Your videos have been so so hopeful for us and planning. Might do a last minute decision and book the one for September this year.

What time were you off the ship?! We want to do this cruise and same trip! We want to go to character breakfast at Aulani when we get off the ship! Trying to see if we can swing it!
We walked off at 7:30am! We ubered to the airport, got our car and was at Aulani by 9:00am. They did provide bus transportation, but I believe we were ahead of it.
