I love Barb but Miles was a breath of fresh air in this. I don't think there are many (if any??) Podcasts with these 4, but it's awesome. Just a really great dynamic.

thesaxophoneboy i don't know how they grow cloned cells, only the results. i imagine they're grown in a host womb, removed before the development is finished and fed normally until fully grown. and to answer your second question, dolly the sheep. cloned organisms tend to develop problems, they get sick and die long before the originals do, in part because they start at the same age as the originals but with the rapid cell division of growth added on top. remember, your cells only have so many divisions in them, and different parts of your DNA are active at different stages of life (hence why you don't grow baby teeth after a certain age). so their DNA has to try and figure out how to build an entire body with limited time, resources and an incomplete blueprint. so when i then say "clones don't live very long", are you shocked? which is why identical twins (who are natural clones) are usually healthy like any other being. they grew like normal creatures and weren't forced through the above mentioned absurd process.
i like that they basically had the debate about whether or not cloning is ethical but using crazy hypothetical situations and using video games/movies as reference
