The Ubunifu Space these two lovers you saw in the video are a real couple. So plz react to Priddy Ugly ft Shane Eagle - Hero20...Priddy Ugly is the guy you saw in the video acting & he is real dating that gal you saw in the video. His music is so fucked dope!
In an era when South African music is dominated by hip-hop, house/gqom, it was very refreshing to see an artist broking out with a soulful sound. Amanda Black is absolutely fantastic. Bontle Modisele, the lead in the video, is a dancer/choreographer and TV personality. She comes from a very talented family. The guy playing the partner is Priddy Uggly, a hip-hop artist. They are an actual couple. Before the video was released there were pictures of the proposal - them in traditional wedding outfits in the press and all over instagram. This led everyone to believe they were engaged because they are an actual couple as mentioned above. We were all convinced they were engaged and then got married in secret. I think it was only a week later or so that the video was released and we all realised that they were not married but a PR stunt for the video which I believe was partially the reason it received so many hits. The song is beautiful. Amanda Black is Xhosa and she is singing in Xhosa, which by the way is the language they use in Black Panther, you know it as Wakandan, i laughed so hard when you said "The strength of the Black Panther will be stripped away" because of that. The traditional wedding outfits are Xhosa, I suspect it is because Amanda is Xhosa. The goat being brought in is a gift to the family of the girl so that they can open the gate to begin lobola negotiations. Lobola is what some call the bride price. It isn't. It's meant to open a relationship between the two families but that's an issue for another day that needs further discussion. During lobola negotiations, the future groom's and bride's uncles sit down to negotiate a price. The price is in cows. People don't give actual cows anymore. Instead they will agree on the value of one cow and then discuss the number of cows that must be paid to the family. These negotiations often breakdown which is why you see her peeping through a window as the one uncle is throwing a fit. These fits are part of the negotiating gamesmanship. Women are not allowed at the negotiations. Neither is the couple. Black South Africans will often have two weddings, a traditional one and then what is called a white wedding (which is traditional for white people ironically). I write too much. Let me stop here. Huge fan of your channel.
I am still hoping you would react to two old school South African songs. Sister Bettina by Magrimba. The song is dubbed South Africa's national anthem. When the song plays, every South African basically loses their morals. Our most ratched song. The second song is by Boom Shaka and it's called It's About Time. I am particularly keen on your reaction to Thembi's rap which has confounded South Africans for over a decade now. I know I am trying my luck with this super left field suggestion!
Update: the couple in this video finally (they’ve been together for like 10 years) got married last weekend and they played this song at their wedding. A full circle moment 🥺🥺
This video was so beautiful and what made it more special is that they are actually dating so when they were shooting the video the whole country thought there was an actual wedding going on.
By the way The Couple There is Priddy Uggly (Hip Hop Artist) and The Lady Is Bontle Modisele ( Tv Personality and Choreographer) and they Arr actually a real life couple been engage for the longest.
Where did Tonye get all the madness nowadays. I remember he used to be shy and least outspoken. Now he is allover 😂😂😂😂. The video reminds me of sura yako by sauti sol.

Hey guys, Ngasii here to drop some context So I Do as you clearly saw is a song about love and marriage. Bryan is indeed correct. La Sauce was the vocalist singing the verses with the red curly hair and Amanda Black was the one at the end with the blue hair who gave the song its chorus. You actually hit the all the nails on their heads with what the song is about. The word for "dowry" in South Africa is Lobola (with Lobolo being an acceptable alternative) and is taken from the Nguni languages (Xhosa/Zulu etc) and generally used by everyone. Chorus: Dala ndilindile (I've waited so long) To say how much I love you I got this message for you Ndithi (I say) I Do ngiya vuma (I say yes/ I agree) Amanda is a Xhosa lady and mixes Xhosa (with the "ngiya zuma" line being an exception as it is Zulu. The Xhosa equivilent being "ndiya vuma") and English which reflects the way people speak nowdays. As usual a huge shouts to the Ubunifu Space team for the great work, this one hits home🙌🙌🙌

I think you guys saw the 'South Africa' in it! This was a reaction worth watching! We, South Africans usually feel that reaction videos overlook our uniqueness through talking over the parts that make our story!
Hey guys, if I may also add... I'm not sure if someone has already commented about the couple in the video. They are actually a real couple and both are celebrities in South Africa. Priddy Ugly who is the guy; is a rapper and Bontle Modiselle who is a dancer/choreographer/presenter/actress. They've been a couple for many years now and have a beautiful love story hence they were featured on the video. 🙏🏾 😅
