I had given up on music.... It just took too much time and didn't pay the bills... So I focused on working and providing for my son Logan...
I was content with that and am proud to be his father. But I wasn't prepared to lose my Dad so fast to cancer, he was the biggest supporter of my music and gave me my guitar as a gift on my 18th birthday. When he passed, that same guitar was in the garage getting dusty... but when I played it for the first time, the chords of Streets of Yesterday were born. It was a song I wrote to myself and I played it on repeat as it brought me closer to him and all the amazing memories we shared... through the song I could take a one way trip back in time to when family was here and I was with my amazing friends. This song and the others I wrote had a lot of power in them to heal me and hold my hand through the dark days and that healing is what drove me to finish this song and share it with you while I hoped that if you were ever to go through a loss of a loved one; a pet, a friend a breakup, that you have Streets of Yesterday and my songs to help get you through
• Getting from that first recording you hear in this video on my phone to the finished version wasn't easy... I took all my music equipment from the days I played in a band and put together a studio piece by piece to bring the song to life. One year later, the song will hit Spotify and all streaming platforms on May 15th. An album of songs will follow Streets of Yesterday. These are real stories of life and I'm blessed to have you along for the musical journey. We are all the same and go through similar stories.
