Thank you so much for this video. I believe still there are less information out there for fNIRS data analysis. I would request you if you can create and share a video on step by step time series data analysis for fNIRS data usin 'R'. Its (R) free resource and most easiest programming language so it would be helpful for students like me having extremely basic programming skills.
Hello Srishti, This is a terrific idea! I unfortunately no longer have access to fNIRS data myself, would you feel comfortable sharing a group of basic finger tapping data (including event markers, etc)? I am hoping to get back to making more videos this summer, but have been very restricted with family matters as of late.
@@jonathanperry8587 Thank you so much for your reply. Sorry I don't have finger tapping data but I don't mind sharing my data if I can get your email address. I am really willing to analyse fNIRS data on R. I can't use NIRS toolbox due to the the kind of data sheet I am getting using Hamamatsu NIRO-200. I am happy that I found your channel seems I can ask help here .
Hi Jonathan, much appreciate your sharing. It's very helpful. could you explain more about the 2nd point in the last slide. You mentioned the "activity" between groups and "general difference between groups". I am confused what is the difference between these two terms. I would be very grateful if you could explain more.
Hi Jonathan Thank you for such a good and useful presentation. I have a question regarding the design matrix. I am using nirs toolbox and I wish to use the NIRS-SPM GLM, however, I am not sure which GLM properties to use. So, I want to draw the design matrix and then decide. I was previously working with nirsLab and it gives me the design matrix automatically. However, I do not know how to do it in Matlab Thank you
I currently know 2 ways to give you half of the information. 1. You can draw the stim (and therefore boxcar) using the .draw() function 2. You can draw the canonical functions following the video ruclips.net/video/nlHkOmRTxiQ/видео.html I will see if I can dig a bit further to figure out how best to draw the full design matrix, but the above two give you a nearly complete design matrix. Unfortunately, not as one.
Very helpful video, thanks for sharing
