Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

Another reason why Lalo admires Nacho for doing this, is because Nacho was *jumping and climbing around to get what he wants,* which is EXACTLY what Lalo does, reminding him of himself.
Nacho even jumped down from the ceiling inside the building, much like Lalo at TravelWire, earning him Lalo's respect.

Man, if Nacho had been able to be genuinely loyal to Lalo they could’ve been an unstoppable team
He would have become part of the Salamanca family if not for Gus, as he gained the trust of not only Lalo, but also Tuco and his cousins (he literally has the blood of Salamanca in his veins).
@@MrChef-uu2ffhe wouldn't have done this without gus threatening the life of his father to earn lalos trust
Except that he despised how heartless Lalo and the Salamanca family were. Nacho can put on a front and grandstand against people in the game, but he doesn't want to involve innocent people. That Lalo could so easily kill the man at Travel Wire over nothing but a suspicion shows how heartless he is. They work together amazingly, but they're bitter enemies in terms of morality.
@@CosmicWaltz7 that’s why I said “If Nacho had been able to be genuinely loyal”

I like how the rest of the crew watching is terrified of Nacho being caught while Lalo is there like watching a movie lol.

I wish we got a GTA-esque game based on Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul.
Walter and Jesse would be playable in Breaking Bad.
- Switch to Walter White -> Mr. White ending a chemistry class, as all his students leave and he's left all alone.
- Switch to Jesse Pinkman -> Jesse smoking a cigarette, before tossing it to the ground and crushing it with his foot.
Saul and Mike would be playable in Better Call Saul.
- Switch to Saul Goodman -> Saul speaking with a client, shaking their hand, sweet talking them and helping them through the door.
- Switch to Mike -> Responding to Kaylee's questions while helping her with her homework, before getting up from a small table.
Nacho: _Risking his life to save drugs._
Lalo: 😂🍿
Vince Gillian is a master of writing characters in a way where they are both working for and against their own goals. And it’s so nuanced too. Dude knows how to make the viewer and characters confused about how they feel
Peter Gould, not Vince.
Lalo is just so damn entertaining to watch in any scene he's in
It should not be forgotten that a real drug raid was filmed here and the actor, although it was not originally in the script, entered the building to get the drugs for the whole film crew. It is amazing what these actors are willing to do for a good show!
Even had a camera man follow him in
I like your way of thinking...
Bravo Vince 👏 👏 👏
It honestly kinda sucks how Gus got in between Nacho and Lalo. Would have loved to see more of those two working together. Obviously the conflict between Hector and Nacho’s father was the main problem that got in the way of Nacho and the Salamancas, but had Nacho gotten away with putting Hector in the wheelchair and built a good relationship with Lalo, those two would have been fun to watch.
thats the point, Gus would've made sure Nacho never gets away with putting hector in a wheelchair.
if lalo gets surprised by your actions, then you know you done something impressive

Lalo as we all know, is a daring man of action. Nacho being decisive, daring, and successful, earned Lalo’s trust.
Keep in mind that not too long before Nacho does this brave but stupid act, Gus Fring had just threatened his father and ordered Nacho to make Lalo trust him.
He saw this opportunity, saw it was a Longshot, and did it anyway because of his father. Nacho was a true soldier.
What doesn’t make sense, is why would lalo care about some nicks and dimes, when he oversees millions it’s honestly immaterial.
He oversees 5 kilos, 6 if they hustle Gus. That's why Hector was so angry
This is the exact Moment Nacho became Spider-Man.
And that’s how the Nacho supreme was made.
Lalo is about the most likable crook. I’ve seen in a long time.
Nacho knew that parkour would come in handy some day
Most amazing part is how Lalo just had snacks on the ready, while knowingly going into a police raid.
Why is Lalo sweating this? He spent 7million to bail out of jail. This should be chump change to him.
I dont know why the stash is so small. Theres like 50 grams max in that metal box. Big drug pushers like this will be dealing in kilos, or multiples of ounces at the very least. SO kind of wierd the stash is so small
just as weird to worry about loosing just that lil bit, when your operation isnt a 1 or 2 man show.
As if they wouldnt have officers covering every side or the building.
That "Full load" honestly doesnt seem as much, I wonder how much it was worth, these mfers paid 7 million to bail out Lalo, they surely can afford loosing those 4 bags of drugs
Nacho did it to gain lalos trust
It was done to win lalos trust to protect papa varga. It would have been best for nacho if the police caught him. He could get protection for himself and his father. Adios nachito
I have to say Lalo is my favourite character in the BB universe. Even above Saul and Rimmin Kimmy
Thiss is the moment Nacho saved the stash.
if he got arrested it would've been the only way to live AND save his Dad
Thats a pretty small stash....
They said half a load.
So that’s half of what they have for that one site after what Lalo removed for being stepped on.
Seeing as they have the monopoly in the area they can charge 60 or 80 per dime. So that’s like a few hundred bucks right there
Nachito, you're a badass!
All that for a few dime bags?
Nobody seems to be mentioning that the chick in the back seat is the same chick from the gas station in BB, when Jesse trades the meth for gas. Does she tie into the story more than just this little cameo?
I too thought that at first but actually this girl is different. The gas station girl actress name is Jolene Purdy. This is a similar looking but different actress.
This is one of those scenes where they screwed up by being completely unrealistic. Lalo is supposed to be one of the main guys near the top of the cartel. Yet here he is showing up for someone getting busted with a few dime bags. This would be about the equivalent of one of El Chapo’s main guys showing up when some kid on the corner in New York gets busted with 6 $10 bags of Heroin. Then he asks how much was in there & the kid in the back says “a full load” which Lalo looks upset about. To someone like Lalo that amount would be less than the equivalent of a penny falling out of his pocket onto the ground. I love this show but it sucks when they screw up details like this
Micromanagement! But I agree, I don’t understand the reason.
It might not be a good management technique to disregard setbacks, no matter how small they are against the big picture. Next thing you know your employees are taking liberties at you because you don't get upset that easily.
Also Salamancas are not the largest players in the cartel. They distribute in the united states. Street pushing is their bread and butter. I think it's quite natural that Lalo is interested in what's going on at the belly of their operation.
Since the moment Lalo showed up he was obsessed with the finer details. It's really not that far from believability if you look at it as a corporate suit coming down to a franchise to investigate the exact way the store runs. Hence his levity at the situation. This is one cog in a massive machine, he has no real stake in it. But if this cog works, and the other cogs work, than the machine works.
Omg are you serious?
Lalo literally went for every detail he can get.
Why would a boss go himself to find information about a guy working for gus? See? That's the difference between Lalo and Hector.
I agree, the first time I watched this I was half asleep and my brain remembered it as a very significant amount of product. Now I'm watching it again and I'm just shocked that Nacho went through all that just for enough drugs that he could fit in his pockets?
This is possible in a perfect world where a law enforcement doesn’t place security around the building or check rooftops
So many holes in breaking bad universe that doesn’t make sense in real life
I'm sure that Nacho would be touched to know how concerned Lalo was for his well-being while he was laughing and eating popcorn as Nacho risked his life.
Nacho did that to gain his trust to save his dad

lol I read it as "Nacho Saves The Flash"
What does he actually collect? He only has a couple small bags that’s surely not the full load? 😂
What was so important to get? Stash? It wasn’t much of a stash.
Nacho did it not because he truly cared about the loss but because he needed Lalo to trust him and it worked.
Most Ballsy scene ever Nocho Varga hes the man !!! :D
That full stash doesn't seem like anything they should be worrying about if it fits in those right pockets.

Nacho did all that for an amount he could stuff in his pockets...?
Almost a full load means how much of money it worths?
I haven't watch this show but the stash looks like not worth risking it for
He was doing it to impress Lalo and gain his respect, not for the stash
Some fans ran the rough numbers. Nacho saved around $10,000. Of course, Nacho didn't do it for just the $10,000. He put himself on the line to prove to Lalo that he could be trusted.
No mames = You're kidding me

He really went back just for a couple tiny coke bags?
Still no next season??
No one likes a try hard for the boss
Does anybody know approximately how much money the bags were worth that he broke into to save? Can’t be that much $
He put the drugs in one pocket and in the car it comes out in another.
Why would they even care about a couple ounces
2 reasons.
The salamancas are rivals to gus who already sells more coke so they can’t afford to lose any at all if they want to keep Don eladios trust.
Second Nacho does it to gain lalos respect and trust.
This scene is 1 of 2 scenes in all of television where despite watching countless times, my sphincter is always clenched EVERYTIME I watch it, the other being the train heist in breaking bad
