Its Interesting that the white Cop is being respectful, professional and not racist while the black cop is being unprofessional, disrespectful and racist towards his people. Depending on the construct of the door, I could see it. Softpoints, or even JHP, yeah, nice big hole in the front, way bigger in the back with passthrough depending on medium. Especially with that long barrel. I've done my fair share of shooting and seen enough. The point of the scene was a dad telling a fellow man off, rightly.

This is why I could never understand his rant about gentrification. If his neighborhood got better he wouldn’t have to put up with this crap. Nobody wants to live like this.
When this movie came out, gentrification really took over. Furious realized that he couldn’t let that billboard sway others into selling their house in his community. There wouldn’t be crime in any black neighborhoods if folks actually had the village mentality. U would have been checked and shunned if you attempted to rob an another black man in those days.
I think that the robber was the guy that the kids saw later on by the railroad tracks. Remember he said he fired right for his head. He must've got him lol

No one in the comments talking about how weird the black cop was. Also I’ve come across a cop like that before when my car got stolen. Idk how people like that make it
That was incredibly irresponsible just shooting like that without even seeing the guy, or saying freeze. What if it was a relative of his? Not to mention those stray bullets could’ve killed a baby across the street.
He did see the guy. He said it was a brother so it was an African-American male. He said he aimed for the head so he was about 5'10"-6'0" tall. They were not playing freeze tag so yelling "Freeze" wouldn't do anything except give away his position and give the intruder a chance to fire first. My relatives know I'll shoot if there's someone in my house that has no business being there, so they knock or call ahead. They don't just freely enter. If this man had family they more then likely knew this is the reaction he'd have. The stray bullet thing, yeah there's some merit to that argument. Unfortunately that's the risk everyone who lives in that neighborhood takes when crime is out of control and the police treat them like animals. If you don't want people to be forced into a defensive action like that, maybe fix the crime first. Help your fellow man and weed out the evil that works its way in.
