Ranking Every Skillet Song from Worst to Best! (Part 1)

- This is the first part of 3. I will be giving my opinion on every Skillet song from their main studio albums (plus a couple bonus songs). This first part is their “worst” songs in my opinion. Skillet is my favorite band, and even my least favorite songs are still great songs!!

Good video! I agree with most of this, I'm not a fan of 95% of their music before Collide but their newer songs you mentioned are a lot higher on my list.
Took me awhile to really appreciate their older albums because I only heard Collide, Comatose and Awake for so long. I know what you’re saying, but I do think some of their new stuff is not as good as the best of the old.

yeah! I think these kinds of things are fun. I don't think the Skillet fanbase is on top of things like this, so I figured I would do it myself!
I hate to be that person but Collide, Comatose, And Awake are just the best Skillet era

Same though I would personally include Rise in that mix even though I know it's not the most popular

What do you mean an illustration? Like a picture with the album art?

I honestly loved Lions. Maybe notnquite top 10 for me... but insert it at number 11 I guess
I like every song of them but I prefer the songs from The Comatose-Victorious album(And of course every album in between) :D

Bisa Plays thank you! Yes, I play by ear. I listen to them a bunch and sit at the piano and figure out what the music is doing and then play that along with the vocal melody. It’s all about music theory and learning keys and patterns in chords and songwriting.
@@HeroMonsterPS3 Wow! I couldn't do that. I also don't have much time for it. (Many reasons like school,sport etc) You were speaking of you would like to do some new things. Maybe you could do some tutorials or Reading comments and answering questions? :D

Come on to the future and the one are two of my favorite early Skillet songs, but I agree with most of the list so for.

HeroMonsterPiano my favourite song is kinda hard to pick.
Lyric wise: hero or rise
Vocal wise: fire and fury
Beat wise (oh boy): monster, back from the dead, out of hell, feel invincible, sick of it, undefeated or rise up
The song I like because I keep putting it at the beginning of kids shows instead of the theme song because I feel it doesn’t fit: awake and alive
And finally the song I listen to when I’m stressed after school: circus for a psycho at (1.25 speed)
No!! Set It Off is literally in my top 25 for no other reason than I just freaking love it for some odd reason hahaha.
I feel like I could really like it but for some reason just can’t get into it. I can see why it’d be a favorite, just not my style

I really likeThis is the Kingdom , One day too late, Madness in me , FInish line and watching for comets :( I think the very TOP will be Eating me away, Falling inside the black, Collide, the Resistance, Comatose, Not Gonna Die, Feel Invincible, Rise, and the first of course MONSTER
Daniel G.O. I like those songs too! I should be more clear, I love all Skillet songs but compared to the rest they are not as good. Obviously just my opinion! But uh, you got some right and some wrong! I’ll let you wait and see 🤓

The Mario and Sonic fan 1000 yeah dude. It sucks to hear it cause I have mad respect for John and everyone in Skillet but the riff is like the exact same 🙄
Here’s a cool thing you could try:
Listening to some songs at 1.25x speed (preferably the songs from the rise and victorious albums) and see if any of them sound better

Battle cry is good song. I don't agree with you!
This list is mostly subjective... I would rather listen to battlecry than most music out there right now... so yes it’s a good song, but compared to Skillet I don’t think it’s their best. Ya know?

Brave is a decent song, but I don’t feel like it sounds very much like Skillet. It sounds like they tried to sound like other Christian/Worship songs and it just sounds a little too simple and generic for them. It’s a good song, I just like other Skillet songs more

Not a good start. I loved say it loud and other invincible and alien youth era songs.
Totally cool! Obviously just opinion. I love the albums as well. You’ll see some pretty high songs off both albums :)
Hey You, I Love Your Soul, Invincible, Unleashed and Victorious are the worst albums imo. Alien Youth was also not very good.
Unleashed and Victorious aren't the best but certainly not my least favorite... You like self-titled?
@@HeroMonsterPS3 Oh yeah I enjoyed Self-titled! It feels very grungey and raw but with a twist due to the Christian lyrics. I was so disappointed binging their discography when after that they turned electronic industrial.

1. Collide
2. Comatose
3. Skillet (1996)
Maybe you should do a ranking list of their albums?
I don’t like any songs from after 2013, Legendary is okay. They just lost their sound

HeroMonsterPiano I mean, I can listen to them but defiantly don’t prefer them over the older songs! It’s okay though everybody has their own opinion
@@HeroMonsterPS3 With very few exceptions, they went pop with Unleashed. Every album between Collide and Rise has some memorable orchestras and amazing heavy guitars, Unleashed and Legendary are much more pop.
