You should have removed the pan and cleaned it. How much ever you flush, the oil sump would have little oil left over at the bottom which usually does not get drained. I think doing so many oil flushes was not required. Once/max twice was enough unless you can afford it and I believe it's just for our satisfaction.
Very Good Point and Observation. However, in this particular case it was not needed - dear. There are specific cases/situations where we need to remove the PAN. To remove PAN following are the generic conditions in chronological order. A. Car is in rough idling and engine oil change time has past long back. B. Engine oil grade and ACEA specification was not used accurate. C. Engine oil is a normal available one (usually which is available to us) and with long drain interval multiple times. (Very very important). D. A seasoned technician inspects and suspects higher timing chain or rocker sound. He removes the tap-pit cover and got socked by seeing the amount of sludge. E. Next remove the PAN and manually clean the sludge and carbon all through. [N.B.:- 100% carbon removal is not possible in any case and not needed as well. A little carbon is always good for engine’s health as it acts like a natural sealant]. Normally we remove the PAN in this case. Now coming back to this situation, especially why PAN removal is not needed. 1. Different league of engine oil is being used. 2. Minor details:- if you see, during second single flush itself most of the carbon and depositions have been removed. 3. 1st rinse was to eliminate any loose carbon and residual flush. 4. Final rinse was to reconfirm the removal of any unwanted PAN dart, carbon or sludge. Other option could be to use a proper grade & ACEA engine oil available to us and to drain it in every 5/6K KM. It’s a practical possibility. Here, I can see that the owner has prioritised the quality and THE right approach on how to change engine oil after flushing (even though it’s a bit expensive process). Not sure who is the owner. But I can certainly say, this car or for that matter any car will drive way better & lighter following this process. Finally, it’s like the way the car feels like during driving. There has to be a significant deference in driving experience if it would have been a simple single engine oil change or only a single flush engine oil change.
@kingshukchakravarti1444 also 1 more thing. Using flushes multiple times may result in weakening of rubber seals, gaskets etc thus leading to oil leakage due to over cleaning(deposits usually keep the seals tight). A better way to oil flush is to use a thicker oil for flush, like 15w40, so that the seals and gaskets are restored and thus prevent leaks in the future.
@@tejaswibmI've used ATF as a flush along with cheap 10W30 engine oil & replaced the oil filter. (1 liter of ATF & 2.5 liters of normal oil), running it for 1000+ km in my Swift diesel, which is right now at 267,000+ km. I've seen people doing it in the USA for quite some time, so I thought the same. Will be doing an oil change next week.
@@prathmeshdk I am not sure about doing so. People in the USA have been doing this on Suzuki cars or diesel cars/trucks that they own? Mostly in the US, they use diesel trucks(Hilux-type flatbeds) which usually have Cummins engines. Maybe it works for them in those heavy trucks, but on a 1.3L Fiat source DDiS, I think you may be overdoing it. A flush may be used once every 25k km and a full oil flush may be done once in every 50k km. I would stick to this schedule for Indian cars and yes, use good quality engine oil (in your case 5w40 fully synthetic) and take care. But hey, if its working for you, then I would not comment at all :)
If u want to save money Go with Mannol, its group 4 synthetic with SP grade same as Amsoil with half of the money. But you should change oil for 10k kms , it is affordable so you can change oil at 5k interval also😊
I use the same Amsoil Euro oil in my VW TDi. This oil is rated for 15,000km (manufacturer drain interval spec). Only Amsoil “Signature series” is rated for 25,000miles/40,000km interval. Anyway, this is the best engine oil money can buy in India currently (and costly too). But since the owner installed an oil catch can, the Euro oil (or any other top tier oil) can last for a long long time. I personally would’ve preferred only a single use of the engine flush chemical to protect the oil seals from degradation. Twice use of the flush chemicals was a bit too much. Even engine flushes are of two types: Solvent based (Liqui moly etc) or detergent based (Amsoil). Detergent based flush are safer for oil seals and less aggressive than solvent based flush.
