Some of the timing got messed up -_-
Wow, this was a LOT of work to make and pretty tricky but it should look good regardless.
My best explanation on why Six dropped Mono is worth checking out because I used not only the David Mervik interview, but Tweets from the official LN Twitter too, which none of the theorists on RUclips did. As well as some logic that few people considered (plus the devs' answer on why she ate the Nome instead of the sausage)

Some time ago Hezu made an AU where Mono meets Runaway Kid and they go through the events of the DLCs and ultimately escape the Maw together. It’s nice that the boys got a happy ending but I absolutely hate the sucky ending that Six got in it, yes hate it with a passion (and Hezu’s explanation did nothing to help that and only made me hate it even more), so I fixed it. Not only fix Six’s ending, but also change the fate of someone who didn’t appear in ‘Channel change’ at all (Hezu DOES know about VLN and has made fanart of it before).
I asked Hezu for permission to make this and she said yes, proof: hezuart.tumblr...
The Signal Tower is obviously not a happy bunny about Mono escaping, but it is not yet beaten while there is still a pawn on the board: Six.
It plans to send an oblivious Six back in time to meet Mono slightly differently so that it may restart the loop, but without Mono it doesn't have full control on where it sends her so Six ends up being sent even further back in time than the Tower intended and she was able to change the outcome of an event that affected her greatly, and is able to share her freedom with her new friend. With BOTH of its loop pawns now out of its reach and having used the rest of its power, the Signal Tower finally falls.
For some reason Hezu spared the Tower in 'Channel change', I however unspared it. As well as her cracking the eye clock, and me shattering it.

Let me explain the time travel rules I used for this: I’m not going for the ‘butterfly effect’ trope, as that leads to a whole other can of worms like ‘since RCG never died, then this Six would be erased and never manage to save RCG in the first place’ basically the whole ‘grandfather paradox’. So instead, I’m going the same route that Avengers: Endgame took and make it so that changing the past doesn’t erase the present/future, but instead it creates a new timeline. That way the events of the past are altered for Six, but she doesn’t disappear, nor does it then erase Mono and RK’s happy ending.
As for the VLN version of Six not showing up, in this comic’s rules of time travel, when someone is transported to the past to alter an event that involved them the first time, and they will and do succeed in changing the outcome of the event, the past version of themselves will disappear the instant that the present/future version of themselves show up, allowing the version who came back in time to replace their past selves. If the one who went back in time fails to change the outcome of the past, then both their past and present selves remain, which is why neither Mono or Thin Man disappear because their actions cause the outcome of the past to stay the same, thus they both remain. Here however, the Six who came back to the past already knows what will happen and therefore will be able to change the outcome, causing her VLN self to wink out of existence the second she arrived back at the Nest.
That way, there won’t be two versions of the same person in the same time period to cause distortion to time. That, and I want to avoid having two Sixes in this comic.
TL;DR: Future selves of people who succeed in altering a past event replace their past selves, to avoid having two Sixes in this comic. And time travel is an absolute b*tch to write.

The rules I used for time travel in this AU is towards the end of the description, and for those people who were celebrating the sucky ending that Six got in 'Channel change': You people are sick and disgusting for celebrating something terrible happening to a mentally ill 9 year old kid. It's funny how you, full grown adults who DON'T live in a kill or be killed world, reprimand a kid who lives in a kill or be killed world for making immoral decisions to survive and act like you have the moral high ground when you wish something like death or torture on them, or cheer when that happens in an AU.
David Mervik (The senior narrative designer of Little Nightmares) even said that applying our moralities onto kids who live in such a world is dumb and that it's not our position to judge the methods they use to survive, as wrong and immoral as they may be to us.

So basicly, the eye saved Six to give her more time to be saved by Mono. But in order to gain power, they put her back in a place where she suffered the most. This backfired though, as she now knew what to do to save RCG. Thus, the eye couldn't find anymore pain to live off of, and died.

I like that you love the story, but I'm afraid that Six and Mono will not be meeting each other in this AU.
I have a midquel on the way that will explain the in-story reason, but the main reason is that this AU is an AU of Hezu's 'Channel change' AU, spoilers but he and Runaway Kid got a happy ending there, so it wouldn't be fair if the boys got a happy ending in 2 timelines while the girls only get 1.
Don't worry though, I won't draw the boys getting a bad ending in this timeline to be spiteful. I'll leave their fates in this timeline up to the audience, but know that the Signal Tower is gone, so perhaps their original journeys are already changed significantly because of it, and should head towards a better conclusion, now that the Transmission is no more.

It's really well-made and I loved it!
I maybe have questions to whether Six would cry like that since she doesn't really seem like the type of person to...cry, in LN, despite so many terrible things going on, but that's highly up to interpretation. Definitely can imagine her rushing to save RG though.
And RG being confused was interesting, I didn't quite understand what happened there. It's the past, so it shouldn't really be affected by Mono's disappearance, so shouldn't younger Six be here too? RG would likely fail to escape if it wasn't for her. But, well, time loops are weird

This is great! It's very accurate to the original and i like how you matched the matched the artstyle. Very glad to see that Raincoat Girl got a happy ending too along with Six.
I don't know if you remember me but i was the one who said that The Hunter made Six a trophy and that karma got up to her and blah blah. So i didn't mean it by that, i don't want Six to die, that's ridiculous, she's a nine year old girl trying to survive in a world full of danger and, how can you not take sacrifices when you are raised in a world like this? They all live in world with one main goal, and that is survival, it's whoever makes it, whoever survives, your options are to give up or to fight, like you said, it's 'Kill or be Killed'.
No one in this world is good or bad, it's just survival.
Six is not the only child that has done sacrifices, Mono has too, even it was by accident, he still did it. Mono is my favourite character out of the 4 kids, but he is not innocent, even if i don't want to admit it he is not. If you don't make sacrifices, then it's done for you. If someone actually thinks that it's right for her to suffer and live in despair, then they are dumb, I wouldn't even believe that they were even human being. Believing that living in a world like this is easy it's unbelievably stupid.
Anyways with all that out of the way, just saying again that you did an amazing job and it really fits with the Au, you've actually put time and effort in this and it's seen. :)

@@purplemninja3885 When i wrote in the description "She kinda deserves it" i don't actually mean it, it was just a joke. Also the reason why I'm probably being too harsh on her is because when i usually watch fanmade videos of her she is "way too innocent" and that gets me frustrated a bit, because (for me) it doesn't make sense.

The time travel explanation makes little sense to me but what matters to me is the ending for the kids anyway haha. Can I see the explanation of Hezuart you mentioned in your description?

This has me riled up because the version of Six that's being punished hasn't yet done the bad things that Hezu mentions she did, and instead of allowing her to share the boys' happy ending now that she has NOT been jaded into looking out only for herself (caused by the events of the Signal Tower in the game) and DOES NOT have the hunger (due to never being taken by Thin Man, therefore Shadow Six was never made), she decides to leave Six to the mercy of a Hunter who taxidermies people, has a bunch of corpses around his house, and chased Six with a shotgun.

The reason why I'm miffed at this one too is because she mentions how Six ruined Mono's life, but brushes off the fact that he ruined hers too with 'Mono isn't innocent'. I do not enjoy dissecting Mono for bad things he did but I have to in order to explain. Mono ruined Six's life when she was trying to help him too. He released the Thin Man, she tried to stop that from happening, he looks away when Thin Man takes her, Thin Man makes Shadow Six (cursing her with hunger), accidental on child Mono's part, definitely intentional on Thin Man's part. And this hunger curse that HE put on her leads her to eating RK in the first place, as the devs' answer on why she did it show that she was trying to AVOID cannibalism and had no other choice when it came to the Lady. The hunger curse (that again, HE put on her) forces her to knowingly commit cannibalism, leading to her getting the Lady's soul sucking powers and losing what was left of her child-like innocence and humanity.
And he did this to a version of Six who hadn't done anything wrong to Mono yet. And RK's death can be partially blamed on him since he put that curse on her in the first place. The rest of the blame goes to the Lady who turned RK into a Nome (and all Hezu gave the Lady in Channel Change is a slap on the wrist) and to Six for doing the deed. I don't know about you but someone who's willing to ruin the life of the innocent version of someone by cursing them with hunger and allow them to be distorted and tortured in a fleshy tower where time and space are screwed up, or knowingly and willingly ditching them to a bloodthirsty hunter that he witnessed kidnap them and (accidentally or not) kind of caused to happen because his presence distracted them and allowed them to get captured, doesn't make Mono sound like the ideal person to be in Runaway Kid's life either.
Yet for some reason Hezu believes that Mono should get a happy ending despite that, but not Six. Also I fail to see how a non-jaded, non-hunger-cursed version of Six being around somehow makes Mono and RK's escape from the Maw impossible. There are AUs where both Mono and Six end up on the Maw together and team up with RK and escape the Maw with him (Like BossArtwork's 'Monster Mono' AU and ooCatoo's 'Broadcaster" AU. And AUs like that existing is why I'm not demanding Hezu follow suit, but I find her to be quite unfair towards Six. And again, I DON'T like dissecting Mono like this, but I have to because Hezu does to Six).

So to see her turn around and do this to Six is honestly a betrayal.
The whole point of 'Rewind' is to balance it out, fix not only Six's ending, but RCG's as well. It is called a fix-it after all.
Do NOT go witch-hunting Hezu, and before you tell me to chill, believe me, I am being chill. There's some angrier things that I want to say or do because of Hezu's bias, but I am refraining myself from doing so.
@purplemninja3885 thank you for these! Yeah I see how bias she has been seeing the breakdown. With her wording, I could see her telling us Six is complex and all that by giving reasons and to tell us she's aware she doesn't see Six simply as 'evil' to say that she's in the middle ground and there are things to understand about Six but her lack of convincing reasons tells me she she isn't genuine about all this and so made a conclusion for her AU that's truly satusfying for her.
TL;DR: She keeps on failing to convince us about something she isn't and it shows.
