I have one brother. I removed that six horse immediately and put on until it's in Bill 225 racing motor. That's the way to go

I really hope you see this.. I have a gokart with an Tecumseh power sport do you think its safe for me to remove the governer to get some more top speed?

Yes, I have had no problems with this engine after governor delete. More rpm will let you get a little more speed but gearing is what really limits speed. A smaller axle sprocket or larger engine sprocket will give you more speed but you will sacrifice some acceleration.

​@@jwsbackyard6413 yeah im currently running a 12t to a 62t and the speed calculator im using says at about 5600 rpm ill be going 34 mph which is much faster than its current speed.

I have 1 of these and the rear rim has a wobble is there any replacement that you know of?

Sorry I don’t. I looked at eBay this morning and didn’t see any used ones on there. You could probably find something similar on the kart sites like omb warehouse, go power sports or bmi karts. You’d just see if they had anything with the same measurements. Apparently some of the thunderbirds came with 8 inch rims and some with 10 so you’d have to see what size you have.

Nice job on the mini bike! You are missing one accessory , something I consider as necessary. That's a helmet! At the speeds it can now go thanks to the gov delete,!!! Trust me, you don't want to find out the hard way.!!! I did and it took 10 years off my life. I was looking at getting back into this, and found that a Bell 3/4 helmet is only about $90! No reason not to!!!

Bmi karts has the filter adapter and the filter it self came from bmi karts, go power sports, or omb warehouse. I can’t remember which one I got it from.
