My logical reasoning could be the fact that A LOT of people, mainstream-wise, are too sensitive to hear & see the work of actual artists. "O you can't do that. It's too offensive." Pansies.
I mean, they do have some very well known artists in the metal genre (eg alestorm, jinjer, týr, powerwolf, gloryhammer), but, as a record label, i think it's pretty common fir most artists under their wing to not be that popular
"The Hunt" et "The Last Crossing" sont excellent !!
Bof bof. Et pourtant The Last crossing j'avais trouvé ça terrible par contre!
It's kinda sad to hear this, since I know Dagoba for "What hell is about" (2006). Such as BMTH know, or Architects. But thanks Dagoba for that album. This is not for me but I see that a lot of other people enjoy this music, so, good luck. Now I go scream "IT'S ALL ABOUT TIIIIIIIIMEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Dagoba has just left his comfort zone, he just took a risk trying a different zone and I love that, I love when a band takes risks and the play goes well, it was worth the risk, the piece is spectacular in every way. 👍👏🤘🤘🔥.
the way you worded it shows a big problem with this: "he", not "they" the band Dagoba is no more, the people that made it what it is are no longer there, singer Shawter is the only remaining original member, and it shows he has no interest in continuing the sound Dagoba is known for Devin Townsend knew when he needed to stop using the name Straping Young Lad, Shawter should probably let Dagoba be in the past too
@@akula_9784 back when Izakar and Franky were in the band those songs wouldn"t have made it onto an album, now they are the singles to show off they are weak, even if they are the closest they can get to what they used to be
@@AnarchistMetalhead Agree with you 100%. I got pretty mislead and started thinking the album was going to be a more return to form due to the first two singles (The Hunt, Last Crossing), especially with the latter. Turned out those are the only two songs that have the older sound. Things were looking pretty downhill starting with Black Nova, too much electronic effects and stuff for me. Considering the lineup change I understand the experimenting, and about half of Black Nova had good songs at least. This album really just has the two songs. Not liking how it's heading, it's a different band to me. Feels like Shawter is doing a sideproject, but with the Dagoba name. I get that bands evolve, but this is just Shawter messing around now.
75k vues, 2k5 j'aime...
Super titre !
Very enriching song with that female guest vocals, I am also curious who she is and she can sing more with Shawter in such emotionally different side and atmosphere. And it is my opinion of a fan who started to listen Dagoba due hard tracks 😉
Wow. Okay, first outing with Dagoba and dang! I love what I am hearing! The lyrics, the composition is really cool. Definitely going to spin this a few times!
I'm trying to understand whether this radical change has something to do with Napalm Records, the only time I've seen again such a huge change in a band's sound was when they signed Aether Realm. Dagoba are u ok?
Even the sound hasn't changed that much. There were songs similar to this on Tales Of The Black Dawn, Post Mortem Nihil Est and even Poseidon. About the only change or addition has been the synth work. Some change has to be expected, by the time they signed to Napalm only Shaw remained of the original lineup. But The Hunt and One Last Ride still have very hallmark Dagoba sounds so...yea, not sure where you're going with this statement.
@@Ryan-tg9rl synth work is not a new addition to Dagoba, it has been there all the way from Release the Fury but the sound did change a lot, and with this song in particular never before has Dagoba hidden the guitars and drums behind fluff, never before created a pop song without balls previous clean vocal songs like Black Smokers or The Great Wonder were possible stadium anthems with big presence none of the songs shown so far from the upcoming album would have been good enough to make it onto an album when Izakar and Franky were in the band, now they are standout singles
@@AnarchistMetalhead I'd say they particular style of synth is new, but you are right, synth work in general is one of the key sounds of Dagoba. But besides the female vocals the song itself isn't a radical departure. A change sure, but not one I'd consider a total tonal shift for the band. The biggest change was from ToTBD to Black Nova because of the sheer level of change in the musicians involved. But from Black Nova to this? Especially when considering this is just one song? Each album has had one softer/slower tune on it.
@@Ryan-tg9rl it doesn"t matter if the voice is female or not, the rest of the music is completely different none of the previous soft songs they did was a castrated pop song Black Nova still sounded like them showing there was a reason to continue using that band name, it was not that different from the two prior albums, despite the member changes
Been listening to By Night and honestly this is the cheesiest song on the album. I'd prefer a video on Bellflower Drive and Nightclub which are imo the best songs on the album. Still, a very enjoyable record. Cheers!

Not a moment to spare
Full speed in motion
So I feel the air
No looking back just keep staring ahead
I'm trying to reach you
I'm trying to reach you
The thoughts in my head
Beyond the horizon
A new world awaits
Where hope doesn't shatter
So I'll do what it takes
I'll never be free
No I can't stop the chase
And I'm trying to reach you
The thoughts in my head
I won't be wasting time
Till I touch the sun
Coz I spent all my life
On the run
Send an army, send all the gods
I'll take my chances against all odds
I've been running all my life
This ain't a nightmare it's just a dream
If I'm waking up just let me be
I'll be on the run for all time

I’ve found a lot of great artists I might not have otherwise heard of through this channel. Why are all the artists on Napalm Records so underrated?
