You have great reviews, I'm glad you're reviewing some KJVs. I love the Concord, I recently purchased the marbled mahogany with full yapp edition from EVB.
Thanks for your excellent review of the Cambridge KJV Concord Reference Bible. It is quite similar to a Cambridge Pitt Minion KJV I purchased in June 1963. The cover on my Pitt Minion is described as Morocco hand grained leather. It remains in good condition, flexible with a good pebble texture on the exterior. My Pitt Minion was manufactured in London.
Good review, Tim. The Concord, along with the Cambridge Cameo, is among my favorite KJV Bibles. I do think, however, that the Schuyler Canterbury has a better glossary of Elizabethan/Jacobean words no longer in the English lexicon, but the Cambridge offerings are still superior in my humble opinion. I just wish that Cambridge would publish the Concord in other versions. Oh, to have a Cambridge Concord In verse by verse format in the NKJV!
Hello friend. I love the Concord! I have all three editions - a personal sized (published by the Trinitarian Bible Society), a standard in Goatskin, and a wide margin in Goatskin. I love the way they did the references - you get all the references without any marks cluttering up the words.
Although I don't use the KJV as my primary translation, I love the concord reference. I found the reduced size in French Morocco leather at a local bible shop and couldn't pass it up. The study sections have helped tremendously in seminary
@@timwildsmith the concord reduced version is very cool. It's the size of a Pitt Minion just a little thicker. I really like the cross reference system of the concord
CAMBRIDGE goatskin does not seem as floppy as most. But I prefer calfskin or calfsplit when I can get it. Only CONCORD can make an 8 point font look readable with bold and dark text. ..for the KJV at least.
I have a Concorde in block goatskin which I LOVE! I do also want one in French Morocco leather (as my take-outdoors Bible). I understand they did use to make one in this leather at one point, but I have been unsuccessful in finding one. Any thoughts?
The Concord concordance is solid and pretty straightforward. It's great that the Bible includes the glossary and dictionary as well. Combine those three, and it's much closer to the Cyclopedic Concordance than it would be with just the standard concordance. That said, the Cyclopedic still feels more expansive to me, with its own unique content.
Sir can you tell me what is the meaning given in the Concise Bible Dictionary section? Thank you so much for doing this review ❤️. God's grace be upon you and your family ✝️✝️✝️
The inner margins on this seem to be the tightest of any Bible I've seen reviewed. It's perplexing to me that no one is mentioning it. On video it looks like the text is so far in the gutter that you'd have to constantly stretch and fight the book to read it.
Man you have no idea how long I have been trying to find MY Bible for the rest of my life I just got The Concord to your video thank you so much 🙏
Wonderful! So glad to hear this!
It served me from about 1969 to NOW. Now a new one out of respect. If I had to pick one this might be IT.
Beautiful and classic. I just got a Concord in Marbled Mahogany Calfskin from EV Bible. Thanks for the review!
Thanks, Tim! Those new full yapp editions look awesome!
Just ordered mine arrives tomorrow 🙏🏼
Nice!
So how do you like it?
I enjoyed reviewing this Bible as well. It’s very nice and compact to take wherever! Thanks for doing a great review brother
You’re welcome!

I have the Wide Margin Concord which I love.

Thanks for sharing, Rich!
I had a concord bible from about 1970 to 1987. It was great
A classic.

NKJV Topaz coming soon!

Such a great Bible. You’re fully loaded!
Mine says the maps are from Moody Bible Institute. The Concord wide margin is very nice too.
Great review. Wish they made this in a black FY!

I don’t know if all bibles get this after awhile or if it just cheaper bibles, but what causes that white speckling on the gold or silver page edges?
Wear and tear, probably.

I have the Concord KJV Marbled Mahogany in my cart now. Looking for more reviews before committing the $ 💖
Check out the latest video from Cat Woods... she just did an unboxing!
Tim Wildsmith Yes, that is how I found your channel. She mentioned you!

I think they used to, but I’m not sure if it’s currently in print.
The Concord is a wonderful Bible.
Agreed!!
How does this concordance stack up against the R L Allan Cyclopedic concordance? Be interested in your observations. Thanks.

It’s a dictionary of terms that is brief.
@@timwildsmith Ahh ok Sir that means the word 'Lucifer' is not defined there right?
Is the liner a leather liner or synthetic liner on the goatskin?
Synthetic
@@kolsonmaddox777 the brown calfskin has leather liner

May I ask how Philippians 4:4 reads in this bible? Is it "alway" or "always"?
I don’t have this one on me anymore. Sorry!
@@timwildsmith Oh no worries!
I know it’s been a year since you posted this comment. But it says “alway”
@@kolsonmaddox777 I appreciate that. Thanks so much!
They need an edition with the Concord but no dictionary use that for blank note paper!
That might be nice!
Cambridge does bibles right everyone else does it cheap!
Check out the other videos of my channel… lots of publishers who do it really great!
