BIG shout out to Reidy for his heroic work at Bondi junction where he helped save lives after the heartbreaking stabbings that happened yesterday, he assisted in saving people's lives who were hurt, AMAZING guy, not just saving lives on the beach but in the city as well. ❤ Australian hero.
let’s take a minute to thank these lifeguards for being so brave and taking action to help people without a second thought. some people wouldn’t be here anymore today if it weren’t for them.
I have so much respect for them because they know they're going to get some kind of trauma from what they have to deal with but I haven't seen them hesitate for more than a second.
Especially the Bondi lifeguard who helped give first aid to numerous victims in the mass stabbing attack at Bondi Westfield yesterday. Really really horrific stuff. :/
@@magnoliaflowers4861 they choose to do that job and there are plenty of times in people's jobs where they will hesitate and not do the right thing. Just because someone's getting paid doesn't mean they don't deserve recognition and appreciation. As a Sydneysider, I have to give a massive thanks to Reidy for his heroic efforts providing life-saving first aid to the victims of the horrific mass stabbing attack yesterday at Bondi. His actions went well beyond his lifeguard training, experience, or the bounds of his work. Undoubtedly he saved lives and gave the victims the best chance at recovery. I hope he's getting a lot of support to deal with the extremely traumatic event and is recognised for his efforts.

Always tragic when you go out and bring in a body... but Maxi's right. Retrieving that body gives the family closure, gives them a chance to honor their dead how they want to. It's good that you guys do a debrief after. Death is something everyone faces, but it's never easy. And it definitely helps knowing you've got your friends backing you up and there for you when you need support. And kudos to the guys for facing their fears in a shark cage! I've got a healthy respect for sharks; they're beautiful animals that have loads of teeth and power. But I'm not afraid of them either. My brother is terrified of them, though 🤣
Yeah, the sea is very unforgiving, bodies will be swept out and never be found again. Glad this person was recovered and didn't become a missing person, even if they could not be saved.
My family went through the wave of emotions when my uncle drowned. Rescue services found his body, but not his buddies. Two very different feelings were in one group of mourners.
That's so,so sad.I'm so sorry your uncle passed, and that his friends weren't found.Hard as it is to lose someone I think it's worse when you can't lay them to rest.@lesliesteele3926
