Ark, pokemon, rust, breath of the wild, and more. I can see so many mechanics from so many games independently implemented that it makes nintendo not using them together that much more hilarious.
Mr Fruit, you have a very magnanimous personality. Your approach towards the harvest of Palmon, and how you approach the game with your own flair makes it that much more enticing for *me* to play this game. I hope you get a long, long, lifetime to play this game.

@@XoIoRouge yea. the idea of how absurd a pokemon with guns has potential for meme marketing, that even IGN took notice, it means a lot for an indie game to achieve such exposure. the "monster-taming" genre even help refresh the saturation of survival sandbox openworlds flooding the early access market. their background w/ craftopia translates well, aint surprise if they abandon the game and focus in palworld.
I love the setup from the get go. Without saying a word, it introduces pals as a concept with low stakes fights. It shows passive (lamball, chikipi) and skittish (Cativa) pals, with aggressive pals not long after (nitewing). It also introduces the main types of skills right away with lamball having an active combat skill, chikipi having a ranch skill, and Cativa having a passive, always active skill. The not so hand-holding tutorial makes goals you can follow but doesn't impede your progression if you choose to ignore it. Should you indulge it, though, and put down a pal box it also gives you the next set of worker pals in gumoss, pengullet, and foxsparksto get your food farm started. Seeding, watering, and cooking. You even get a goal out the gate: the mighty mammorest that is clearly stronger than the surrounding pals poses a challenge for when you want to tackle it. Really, it's a very well thought out game in my opinion.
Something about the Pal designs, the overall design direction is actually pretty cool! Of course, some of these you can obviously say "Hur hur, tHaT'S a mArEEp!" but like Mammorest is genuinely awesome
I think I empathize with the Pals too much to play it myself, but it's still fun to watch lol. Being able to make your own server to play with friends at launch is dope
it gets so much worse I found out my penguin guy's special ability was a bazooka, so I assumed that would work like the squirrel with the gun, where he gets a bazooka and shoots people. the bazooka was for me. he was the ammo. literally dies on impact.
