Late to this vid but I do dare say Skyward Sword HD is fantastic. Only scummy thing is full price and fast travel locked behind amiibo. Besides that, the game looks so much better in HD. Pacing is greatly improved with interruptions from Fi becoming mostly optional and the game not telling you what every item is the first time you pick it up after continuing the game. The optional button controls is a fantastic option and camera control is such an unexpected but god tier addition. Doesn't seem that appealing on the outside but it's genuinely one of the best Zelda remasters.
Tbf I think unlike most Nintendo ports, Xenoblade Definitive Edition does justify its price not only because of the insane graphical and musical overhaul, but also the new epilogue story Future Connected which in it of itself, is long enough to be its own game. I agree with the rest of the video though
@@crustbound I was talking more from an art design perspective, characters and environments are much more detailed, probably because they're using Xenoblade 2's engine this time around. 480p on the handheld is bad admittedly, its the same as the original however docked its just fine
You do see the full events of the pre-calamity up until chapter 6-1. That's the point where the timeline changes. What did people expect to happen? Did everyone want the game to end there with Link losing to bokoblins and Zelda/Impa carrying him to the healing chamber?
You don't. Its different from the actual events in several ways. For example -Daruk was apparently having trouble controlling Rudania in the real timeline. He seemed to do it fine in AoC. -Revali was still working on the gale when Zelda recruited him. Did it flawlessly when Zelda was recruiting in AoC. -In the real timeline the Calamity strikes on Zelda's seventeenth birthday. In AoC it strikes before then - I might be misremembering but I think the characters even acknowledge this. For the sake of not leaving an overly long comment or just linking you to my review of AoC, I'll leave you with that. As for the other point: if you don't want to commit to showing us the events of the calamity- don't promise it.
Let's also not forget Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl the DS games remastered for £50 with barely any changes other than the graphics, the HM system and the Grand Underground and regressions from the far superior Platinum version that added the Battle Frontier, An expanded Pokedex and even more new stuff and even doing more stupid stuff exclusive to the remakes like making TM's break again, forced exp share and making the Pokemon League borderline unfair all so Pokemon could release something that year.
2020 was actually really good for me, was quality rather than content. Origami King is a masterpiece, Age of Calamity is so much fan service to me, and Animal Crossing was a great game for the beginning of the pandemic
I dont think OK is anywhere near a masterpiece. Its a medicore at best adventure game with terrible RPG combat. It doesn't know what it wants to be and PM needs to just abandon the RPG formula, because they clearly aren't interested in it anymore.
I HATE the one island rule. It's stupid. My brother constantly messes around with my island and it's just such a huge inconvenience. ACNH also made the custom design port only available with online so that wasn't so great.
It's pretty good and the presentation is amazing but I prefer pretty much every other Mario game (except Sunshine) better. Feels like it doesn't know if it wants to be a linear or open game and does a poor job at being either.

That’s how you know now why City Folk had one town per Wii system first. And the DS range had one per card too.
2020 was a dark year to be a Nintendo Fan.
yeah lol
Plus those partner showcases…
Pretty good quality video! I was surprised that you had so little views, keep up the good work

Didn't XBCDE run at like, 480p

Yeah considering the only thing I cared was metroid, it was a rather nice period for me
I mean metroid didnt come out until like Fall 2021, which is outside of the mar 2020-2021 range
it boggles my mind how video game companys( esp nintendo) can fuck it somthing they did well years ago
ikr? their retro selection on wii u was excellent as an example.
If botw 2 is gonna be bad the fabrics of reality will be destroyed and Nintendo will be deleted fropm History

Another game I didn’t like from Nintendo was Kirby Fighters 2. I didn’t enjoy it at all.

I really like Super Mario Galaxy. Call me nostalgia blind because it was one of my first video games ever, but I loved it and still do to this day.
@@crustbound thanks for explanation I understand not everyone likes a certain game
@@ItsCosmoTewulf Thats respectable! It has alot of great things going for it.
