it was the people that year. weirather will tell you the exact same thing. we had the right people in the right places, contributing both musically and mentally. that was the most dedicated group of performers ive ever had the pleasure of performing with. every day we had was fun, each tournament was fun, each run-through was great. our dedication was such that it was rare for us to have a run-through be worse than the previous one. great year. i miss it.
The very best show ever! My favorite! Rancho was ripped off at that SCSBOA Championship tournament! That was their BEST performance of their greatest show ever! Thanks for putting up on RUclips! Rancho Rocks this year too. They should've won last week at POWAY. I am convinced the judges are either bribed or their stoned...still not sure which! WAY TO GO RANCHO! ROCK ON!
My hopes for this band have been tremendously lifted this year. This season was a marvelous success and the only direction this band should take from here is up. Bands have their ups and downs and I'm sorry if the previous statement was unecessarily negative.
This show is really great! I love this show. but whoever said that RBV is going down is seriously mistaken because it's just getting started...with INSPIRE OF 2007.
I look at the results without bias. The RBV band rocks is awesome this year and should have won. That is MY opinion. We can agree to disagree. I AM A JUDGE AND I SAY THEY WIN GRAND CHAMPS! Nuf said. WAY TO GO RANCHO!!! WOO HOO!!!
Be careful you don't take what they say out of context. Mr. Weirather said that he like Inspire the show, better than one world. He DIDN'T say, however, that he liked the way we performed the show better than the One World crowd.
being IN this show and now having more knowledge, i feel i can critique. squirtle is right, the trumpets were a bit harsh at times with their missed notes. the party section notes were dreadful half the time. great energy from the band. slight pulse issues. (squirtle, those breaths in the half time section were placed there. i hated them too.) pretty strong visually all the way around, slight feet issues. id give this a 90.
Oh and also before you make a comment like "even the class of 2003have said this " make sure youve talked to EVERYONE from that class, because I know a lot of us who wouldn't feel the same. K thanks.
WHAT?!?!?! Sacrilidge, Rancho Has Been in white pants for something like 20 years. Well as Mr. White said when he went to white pants, you can't do it unless everyone in the band marches clean...
The trumpets are way too distict and causes it to be off balance musically. The audience can also hear when the trumpets miss those high notes. After every whole note, there's a pause where everyone takes a breath. I thought whole notes were supposed to continue on into the next measure without any audible breaths, so that there is a constant stream of music being heard. Not to burst your bubble about RBV, but you've got to at the results without a biased POV. Wish them the best this season.
cant do the damn show myself?? i was IN THAT EXACT SHOW THAT PLAYED ON THE SCREEN RIGHT THERE. no one said it wasnt good. except for that one guy, but hes an idiot. this was my favorite show to be in. as far as the breaths are concerned, i dont think we quite grasped the concept of those breaths and so we never made them sound right. thats probably why i hated them.

Carmel alumnus), and being really intimidated, yet intrigued becuase it sounded awesome. and this was before your director added the breaths. not to say i didnt like it at champs, just more of my style at scripps.
