The setting and color palette reminds me of Mexico with a Caribbean feel. So fun and relaxing to watch! And yes, when we were in San Gimignano for just a couple of hours and early in the morning, we were totally ok with Gelato Dondoli for breakfast! My favorite combo: pistachio and banana lime 😋That pistachio ricotta begs me to book my next trip to Sicily now!
Beautiful colors in this town: flowers, painted bikes and pottery, those blue chairs in the piazza restaurants. The antique clothing store is all over southern Italy, I love it! You two are so playful and fun. I was waiting to see if your wedding crash idea would work. LOL! Keep that curiosity going: it makes for great content, and we get to tag along.
oh man i love Marzamemi. I spent many a summer lodged there when i was young. I remember the seafloor was so shallow, you could walk for whole minutes into the sea and still have the water below your waist.
Im planning my trip to Sicily as we speak to visit family. The flowers you were playing with if you didn’t know were Lantana. They come in various colors. Those happened to be my favorite. And Yay on the fish.
I’m really loving your videos of Sicily! I have been saving many of the dining and attractions of each town in my “guides” in my maps app so when I make it there I have the directions saved. I recently visited the Amalfi coast and can’t wait to tour, Sicily. Your storytelling style takes me along with you. Thank you so much.
I am really enjoying your videos from Sicily. I am half Sicilian and half Marche but I have not been to either region yet. I can relate to so much of the atmosphere and realize it’s truly in my blood! Thank you for the inside view.
Ok must visit Sicily! Have loved all your villages you’ve visited… it’s definitely on my list! We were in Rome, CT, Florence and Tuscany in September! I ❤ 🇮🇹! You two are so adorable too!
I'm not a fish person either and I think I have the same fear of getting sick, the smell everything throws me off but my family loves it so I always wanted to. It hasn't happened yet 😂 This place is beautiful and your gelato looks delicious.
Wonderful video - so beautiful and peaceful - thank you so much Jessi & Alessio! Definitely have Sicily on my travel wish list. So glad to see that you enjoyed the swordfish Jessi - my husband also does not care for seafood due to any fishy smell - am hoping he will also be able to enjoy the fish there 🐟 😄🙏☀️🎉
Pistacio and RICOTTA OMG. I am headed to Calbria for 6 weeks I will look for it. Thanx for your awesome editing and creative content. Thanx Might be FRESH FISH when I lived in Alaska I loved salmon and halibut fresh. STill am not a fish person unless it's super fresh. It should not smell like fish lol
Omg can you please please please tell me where you get all your fabulous dresses that you ware in your videos??!!! I'm in love! I need them all! And a house in Italy obviously!
Nice lyrics when I visited First time in Italy & have so many wonderful memories . But favorite city is Rome I have been to this city too This was in 1979 Then again I visited 1983 or 1984 When I was living in Toronto I know some Italian families . They imposed me to visit their relatives
We have a son with a shellfish allergy, and he had the same apprehension about all fish. We get it. We started him on freshwater fish because they don't come from the ocean, so don't live with shellfish... yes, we know that's not exactly true, but it worked. Now that he's older (10), he knows what's fish and what's shellfish so he can figure out what's safe to eat. He's also allergic to nuts and got confused by butternut squash and coconut. 😅
You were right about saying you stepped into a movie set, because it really was a movie set, more than one actually: "L'uomo delle stelle" ("Man from the Stars") it's a movie from Giuseppe Tornatore and it got an Academy Awards nominee in 1996. It was also a movie set for the movie "Sud" ("South") by Gabriele Salvatores both extremely well-acclaimed directors and the movies were shot in the beautiful coastal city of Marzamemi.
Ive always had shellfish allergy. Loved shrimp as a kid. Shrimp cocktail. Shrimp w Black bean sauce I always got hives. But allergies were kinda ignored in the 70’s. Se we ate it anyway. Now I dont
It's really sad when you realize not all of us will EVER be this lucky to even go to a place like this and then actually end up living there. Look at all the colors! I wish!!!
Stressful American life worries to make enough money to pay my bills.. I will pack up one day but sooner is better & I will move to Sicily to change my life forever… Bye America 🇺🇸 Aloha from Hawaii…
"Southern Italy" does not exist.....in the southern part of the Italian peninsula, there are five regions that are very different from each other...between Campania and Puglia, for example, there is the same difference that there It is between California and Texas in the USA.
Woke up feeling depressed and after watching this it made me feel so much better. New goal in life, Italy!
Funny how so many Italians I know talk about leaving Italy. Guess the grass is always greener (l'erba del vicino è sempre più verde)
@@Toolwisegrass in Italy is greener than green the main issues are unemployment and low salaries thats why lots of people leave, simple as that
Also one thing is to be somewhere as a tourist, totally different thing is to live in the place.
Same.. let's move to Italy

I’m not the best swimmer, but love the water, so that is great to know! The shallow water sounds like Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota Florida!

The color on the pottery and chairs remind me of the Yucatan.
What was the flower that Jessi squeezed and was spongy? It looked like pitaya, but cactus pear seems more likely?
A Dragon fruit plant, that flower becomes a fruit.
@@sanookaus1334 pitaya is dragon fruit 🥴🥰

Any suggestions on what to see in the bari area. My wife and I are going there next Oct.

Do they throw polenta instead of rice at Italian weddings? Asking for a friend 😁
hahahah that in north Italy where I'm from
What month was you guys there?
Fish shouldn’t have a fishy smell. Fresh fish doesn’t have the smell. Swordfish is a good choice for a “beginner” fish eater.
Beautiful place.
Did you move from US to Italy??
no, we still in us! for now we go up and down from usa italy

You just like fresh fish
And definitely no cheese on fish, I'm not Italian
A person of refined gastronomic culture, I dare say you are!!!
Why doesn't Alessio wear a wedding band?
The house is for your husband, the inside is for your wife to make pretty. Location is nearest family.
Just wondering if you're seeing or feeling anything about the famous mafia there?
If the fish tastes fishy it is not fresh.
Southern Italy sucks.
