正確には蝦夷菊のシオン系の花の別名らしいです。花言葉は信じる心(Google調べ\_へ(´ω` ))

Super long theory about this song and some of Harumaki Gohans other songs:
I think this song might be about trying to fit in with society by basically acting and becoming like everyone else.
I think the character in the video (lets just call her Aster) might be struggling to fit into society, she feels like everyone is losing their individuality and that everyone is just becoming the same, hence the line "Now it's literally only the NPCs and us", she feels like noone thinks for themselves anymore and that people are becoming NPCs(Non-player characters) or robots without an identiy.
Everyone is just following the mainstream trends and lifestyle (This could also be indicated by her saying "The city pop from a 100 years ago is the theme song of the streets of Neon", city pop has become another trend in music that lately everyone listens to. Also "Neon" might be a city where everyone is the same).
I thing Aster is displaying a "neon" or "mainstream" self when she's outside, so she basically tries to act like she's no different from everyone else in order to fit in (1:32 when she's walking outside she is coloured neon) but when she's alone she is coloured white, she can be her true self (1:49, 2:19, 1:09). This would also explain the lines "With an artificial wire frame, I heald a special presentation" and "Be careful not to dream too much", she is basically giving up her dreams and is acting or presenting a false self because she doesnt want people to think that she's strange or weird ("There's no need to worry, I'm a healthy seventeen year old , a Neon captured by the city" she's trying to be like everyone else living in "Neon").
I feel like she's unhappy with this situation though and wishes for people to notice that this isn't her true self and that everyone is losing their individuality ("I wish Mama and Papa would notice" , "Papa won't notice, he can't" this might suggest that even her parents cant see through her facade, maybe because they're already like everyone else as well). She feels like everyone and everything is just fake, because everyone is basically becoming a robot ("Everyones breath was taken away by the neon" (robots dont breathe), "Seems like both dreams and our ordinary lives are the same, fakes") and decides to put and end to this ("With this, it'll be my last night").
Aster finally gives up on trying to be like everyone else, I think her shooting herself either means that she really killed herself so she doesn't end up like everyone else or that she kills off her "true"/"white" self in order to fit in with the mainstream.
(The cup's filled with pink liquid might represent her doing things in order act like everyone else, she's basically drinking her dose of "mainstreamness", so the fallen cup at the end could also either mean that she doenst need to drink the "neon" anymore because she has finally become one of them or that she actually killed herself, I'm not sure about this part though.)
(Also, I think there might be a theme for some of Harumaki Gohan songs, "Dreamless Dreams" and "Melty Land Nightmare" were about a girl escaping into dreams in order to escape reality, but she tried to stop doing so in the end, so this might be her struggling in reality after she stopped trying to escape into her dreams. "Seems like both dreams and our ordinary lives are the same, fakes" could also mean that she now realised that reality is no better than dreaming, she came to the conclusion that she can't continue living in her dreams because they're fake in "Dreamless Dreams", but now she noticed that real life is just as fake).
Sorry for all this rambling this might all be completely wrong but that's just what I thought from watching the video and reading the lyrics, so I thought I might share this in case anyone is interested haha :D Also sorry for any spelling errors or grammar mistakes, english is not my native language and I'd be happy to hear about other theories!
A really good theory! But there is another theme too, I guess. there is Standing "chaldene" (also a song from Harumaki Gohan) at 0.50 . Edit: Also... there are only pink *and* blue neon lights. Mabye it means that Aster has to act like a Girl? like a "normal" mainstream girl.

Ultimate Dreamer I think it’s just the color choices not anything having to do with how she has to act. As red and blue do make purple, while pink is a lighter red. At the same time it doesn’t seem like a bad consideration tbh. But the blue probably represents some sort of sadness because there it times where how she looks is extremely upset and not so displeased, but most of it is usually pink and purple. The only is just outside and to fit with the palette. I’m not really sure anymore

This the first song I found that I relate to so much.
Just like Aster ( I'm assuming the girl's name ) , I believed my life and everything around me is fictional, started distancing myself from my problems and emotions, thinking life is just a boring cycle of working hard, getting a job and meeting your spouse, even the people around me felt like NPCs in video game. In the song, I'm guessing "the neon city" is a metaphor for this kind mindset. Such lines can be found in the song "I'm a healthy seventeen-year-old, being trapped by the neon", and " These neon-coloured tubes, I wish papa and mama can see it". My interpretation is that Aster wants someone to notice her unique mindset, to be rid of her loneliness, but she feels so disconnected from the world that it's impossible. I also want to point out something interesting that I noticed, In the end scene, where Aster spreads her arms out,
there's a neon sign with the word "Genius" written on it. My guess is that since Aster has lost hope in connecting with the world, she starts hiding behind the word "genius" to classify herself as a person that no one can truly understand, and to fully separate herself from the rest of the world. I find this interesting because I did the exact same thing.
Finally I want to list down the lines I thought that contributes to my theory( besides the ones I've already talked about):
1. In other words, it's a fantasy, A fairy tale. A phantasmal fantasy, it's the end once you tire of it. Be careful not to dream too much. (Distancing herself from reality by saying it's all just some fantasy)
2. With an artificial wire frame, I held a special presentation. ( Aster thinks she is just a program projected on a screen, but since she thinks she's aware that she lives in a virtual world, she held a "special presentation".
3.Now in sweet dreams forever, people can't see a thing anymore. Having a job, meeting mama, buying a house, buying a heart. I've only been planted into a pure white body. ( Aster thinks all the people around is just stuck in this boring cycle of life and they are so sucked into it that they don't even realize it's a program-like cycle. )
4.In these unstable eyes, I even forget papa and mama's smiles ( Feeling emotionally detached from her family )
5.The aster was an illusion, seems like it was all a sham ( Being so cautious of not believing in reality that she doubts her own mindset )
6.A lone fantasy needs no tears, I'm just a being with sensations after all (this is how I interpreted this line from the chinese translation of the lyrics. I feel like it fits better here since it's talking about distancing yourself from your emotions.
7. A dream-coloured fantasy, papa won't notice, he can't. ( Not being understood by anyone )
8. Goodbye fantasy, this lonely dream as well. It's because this is non-fiction that I became lonely. Seems like both dreams and our ordinary lives are the same, fakes. So until you reach the underworld, be careful. ( Drowned in loneliness, Aster finally becomes bored of this mindset and start thinking it's fake too. Having lost hope in both the real and fictional world, Aster lastly tells us to "be careful" , to be careful not to fall into the same kind of mindset she had.)
Honestly, the very first time I listened to this song, I felt like I could understand the lyrics perfectly. And even if I were to put these feelings into words, the lyrics just seems to match perfectly with what I would say. But even if that's not what the lyrics actually convey, I still want to thank Harumaki Gohan for making such an amazing song!

I agree with what neeonbunny is saying. I'll just add some of my own thoughts without being redundant.
The name Aster is spelled out in katakana as "asutaa" (a romaji transliteration), which is a hard translation for "asterisk". We can derive meaning from this in two ways. In Latin asterisk means star, which plays into the themes of Harumaki Gohan's other songs. There are billions upon billions of stars in the universe, just as there are people in the world. A star is an individual that burns out eventually. Aster wants to shine white, just as a star would, because it's the truest display of her individuality. In a grammatical sense, asterisks are used to shine detail on material within a composition without derailing the train of thought within the paragraph. The predicament that Aster is in is relatable to that, as well. Individuality is merely a footnote or side thought that isn't a priority for society or trends within it. When she says that "aster was an illusion", she might be literally saying that individuality is an illusion. Considering how the song ends, Aster might be a symbolic representation for everyone's sense of individuality. Her "mama" and "papa" might be a singular person in reality, as humans are dual-brained creatures. We don't rely entirely on logic (male) or emotion (female) by themselves. It's kindof contradictory that trends arise from the individuality of one person, but that's another thought for another time haha.
I get this really cyberpunky vibe from the video. I get this feeling from the use of the word "neon", the bright blue and pink colors (while Harumaki obviously loves it, they're also a hallmark of the cyberpunk aesthetic) and her negative attitude towards a society she's portraying as dystopian. There's also the ice cream having an eye in the sign, which I take to mean that corporations are watching and looking to control your desires... as it's most profitable that way. Neon is used to describe the products they're trying to sell you because they're bright, flashy and appealing. A drink is the best metaphor for this because people need some form of liquid to survive and people are brainwashed to believe they need it to survive. This world is one where you sacrifice your inner beauty for the appeal of the material, trendy world ruled by corporations. I think Harumaki is envisioning a world in the future if the current state of society is left unchecked.
The 309 building is a definite reference to the Shibuya 109 building, which is a department store. This extra 200 added into it might be to give the reader the sense that time has moved or that it's a parallel reality. The 109 store , in essence, capitalizes on trends by selling fashionable products. Harumaki is definitely using the drink as a metaphor for trends. There's this subtext underneath it all that makes it out to be a poison. This is emphasized at 0:27 where he tells us the "doctor has been shot". The next couple lines mention an "anti-trojan agreement" and Asterisk "not being made to execute that". If the doctor hadn't been shot, he would have prevented the poison. The idea of an "anti-trojan" agreement is hypothetical. There wasn't one made. The drink, which is a product, is poisonous but is called safe by the majority (a trojan horse). It's polluting the minds of people and turning them into slaves to trends under the guise of something desirable and fulfilling. She calls it a "fairy tale" because the world that people are choosing to believe in is one where they avert their eyes from reality. Aster chooses to see reality and knows that the "nonfiction only has a fly in the ointment", meaning that the product is tainted.
Edit: Written in katakana in the video description is "virtual children". I think harumaki gohan is trying to set up a distinction between "corruption" and "innocence" in this video. When we are children, we are in are most innocent stage. As we grow up we become indoctrinated by the material world. I'm certain harumaki gohan is an adult or at least very close to becoming one, which is why he uses the term "virtual". Aster doesn't exist in reality, but she represents a concept that exists in the virtual world of the psyche. In using this term, he might be referring to the characters present in all his songs. His songs have children characters undergoing some emotionally heavy, transitional phase. As an artist, it's a period of time he seems to draw the most inspiration from.
