Thank you! Is it possible to apply materials to layers for the assembly without having to apply the assembly to a corridor to produce Section Views? I asked because I just need draft cross section views on assemblies for future roadways, not proposed roadways. Thanks again!
Great tutorial! I've been doing the same steps but when to select the corridor shapes when computing materials, Civil 3d wont show any options to me, even tho my shapes on code set styles are all set.. Any ideas on how to solve this?
Jeff, I am unable to use the 'compute materials' command as no alignment or sample line group appears when I try it. However, I have created multiple alignments, corridors and intersections. Any ideas on why?? Thanks.

Hello, Jeff, could you please help out and send me the file with the road you have there in the video. One of my professors in university gave us an assignment to compare microstations and autodesks ability to calculate these structural volumes, but we are geodesy students, so we have never done something like this, so it is rather hard to start this whole project from scratch. So I am hoping, you could help out
Your structural volume report is wrong Because of station between length The station length should be more the sample line offcet Because of road slop profile Every road should have longitudinal slope it's should be calculated in length

How do you get the total volume per material? Just sum the data on the reports (for each matl of course)? Or is there a quicker way from C3D? Thanks!

What Tipe Asembly have you used for daylight , I See you have and extra space after the edge of pavement, what do you do ?

I extract the quantities from landxml file is much faster. You do not have to generate for each alignment separately
