Agreed! Now I wish one of the reaction channels or vocal coaches would do a reaction video on Michael Sweet who is my favorite metal singer! Miljenko is my second! And both can still hit those notes today!!!
Miljenko is the greatest male voice ever to be heard, maybe including women as well - Celine Dion, Ann Wilson, Martina McBride and Whitney Houston don’t even have his range, he is simply amazing
There was no voice like Miljenko. Bar none, the best voice of the 80’s and now. He can still hit those high notes, but not as long as he used too. Who cares, he can still reach them. Definitely an underrated band. Oh, that voice ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!
Miljenko Matijevic is easily the greatest male vocalist I’ve ever heard, he’s unbelievable. Nobody has his range. SH may not have had as many popular songs as some but that voice of Matijevic, wow!
Oh, my goodness!!!! I LOVE that song so much! Loved it the moment I heard it back in 1990! Thank you for reacting to this one! A most excellent choice!
Miljenko Matijevic is one of the greatest vocalist of the 20th century and still hits those high notes even in his 50's. Check out "She's Gone" when you have a spare moment.
Not all the songs, some others were by Jeff Scott Soto. I think the songs that the main character supposedly wrote are sung by Mili, and the ones that the singer that was before him are by Jeff.
I love his singing and the way he performs, Milli is just as talented in person.I know this is a couple of years ago. This how I came across your channel.I have been listening to a lot of music from various artists during the pandemic.Listening to this particular song makes me forget everything else in the world 🌎
Love this song so much, and all of their music. I have been fortunate enough to have met so many of my favorite Musicians, and I usually don't have anything negative to say. These guys were the most arrogant, rude, and disappointing folks to meet. They played here in Chicago @ SHOELESS JOE'S, it was just a great show, but afterwards every single person who came into contact with them felt heartbroken and angry by the way they acted. It was very surprising.
LOVE me some 80s big hair metal! Could you please review a song named "I Remember You" by Skid Row. Their lead singer, Sebastian Bach, has one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard. :)
I broke my neck in a diving accident in 91 and this song was playing on the ghetto blaster at the time so this is the first time I've listened to this song in almost 30 years.. Thank you!!!!
I love your reaction to this epic song. I can tell by the way you just watched and didn’t act some kind of way that you know a great voice when you hear it! I’m glad that you chose this song because there are hardly any channels workin this song and it might just be the best vocal display from the 80’s! Thanks for doing it.
You looked so calm and pleasant and I was waiting with a smile on my face, for the part that was coming when Miljenko really lets loose and hits that first high note cuz I knew what was coming! 😁 And when he hit that really high note at the end I knew that was going to blow your mind! I'm very familiar with this song and it's one of my favorites. This was an awesome reaction video! And by the way the name of the song is I'll Never Let YOU Go.
I grew up listening to Steelheart. So glad you did this song." Can't stop me from loving you " is another great song by them if you ever want to check them out. Your end credits are hilarious :)
I completely missed this. What stations played them? I'm in Detroit. We've had 4 rock stations on and of for nearly 50 years, plus the station out of Toledo. The played skid row and hair bands of the day.. I'm dumbfounded I've never heard of them. I completely stumbled across them..through kati cher, actually, through We all die young..
love reactions to him It always takes me back to the first time i heard them and thought:thus can't really be his voice". Then i saw him live and his voice knocked me on my ass.
Hi, thank you for reviewing this. I have asked many a times for rock reaction channels to due Steelheart. Miljenko was possibly the best rock singer ever. They also had a handfull of other songs if you'd be interested. Also look into Saraya anything from their two albums, though Love Has Taken it's Toll is a good start.
I love Steelheart, one of my favorite bands to listen to... One of my top 5 vocalists! You outta check their other song " She's Gone " all of their songs are very meaningful with emotion and always straight from the heart 💙💚💙💚💙
For anyone who might think the singers voice is familiar... It's Miljenko Matijevic and he did all the singing vocals for Wahlbergs character in Rock Star. I believe he also wrote or helped write the songs for the movie as well.
Amazing vocal skills!. Hard to imagine that kind of stress on the vocal cords when having to perform that song while on tour. Or.. maybe there’s no negative effects at all?. Mike Reno lead singer of the band called Lover Boy is definitely another artist who has unbelievable range & vocal skills. Enjoyed your review!
Man glam metal is my favorite genre and Steelheart is one of my favorite bands. This band is so underrated, even in the hair metal genre itself. Thanks for acknowledging them. This genre is full of amazingly talented musicians, bands such as Skid Row, Dokken, Danger Danger, XYZ, Hardline, White Lion, Warrant, Whitesnake, Winger, among a bunch of others. I urge you to check them out.
Mili has about a 5-6 octave range and can still hit those notes today. Steelheart's new stuff is awesome. Lips of Rain and My Love is Gone is incredible. Mili almost lost his life on Oct. 31, 1992 at McNichol Arena in Denver. It was Slaughter's last show of their tour and they asked Steelheart to open for them. Mili climbed an 800lb lighting truss that wasn't secured. It fell on top of him slamming him face first into the stage. Steelheart ended that night. It took Mili 4 years to completely recover. In 1996, he was asked to be Mark Wahlburg's singing voice in the movie Rock Star. We All Die Young became the anthem for the movie and was written by Mili and his friend, Kenny Kanowski, in Mili's attic. The band in the movie was Steel Dragon. Mili went by Mike for many years but when his dad passed away, he went back to his Croatian birth name, Milenko Matijevich. RUclips any of his stuff and you'll see how talented he is and not just singing but song writing and playing instruments. In the song She's Gone, Mili hits even higher notes. It's completely insane. He's also a total sweetheart. :}
Steelheart has another great song that has been endlessly covered on TV talent shows (The X-Factor; The Voice; America's Got Talent) because of all the high notes... "She's Gone" by Steelheart
There were 3 voices in the movie Rock Star. Bobby Beers singing voice was the incredible Jeff Scott Soto (TSO West tour group), Chris "Izzy" Cole sung by Mili, and Thor sung by Miles Kennedy. Kennedy is part of Slash and Miles Kennedy and the Conspirators. All 3 have incredible octave ranges and all 3 can still hit those notes with perfection today. :}
Miljenko Matijevic was brilliant with that majestic voice! Too bad he broke his back when lights fell on him during a stage rehersal after their second album. He still works in music though ;)
It wasn't during rehearsal, it was during an actual show opening for Great White I believe. But he came back a few years after that, He's been back ever since.
YES!!! "She's Gone" is my favorite from them as well. As a trained vocalist, I've found "She's Gone" slightly tougher to pull off live than "I'll Never Let You Go". Both great songs and both a joy to sing.
I really like your reviews. I'm a guitar player. But, I've always had trouble play bands that had front singers with big voices . You helped me figure out why!!! I can't get over how strong there voice is. So thank you!!!!!!!!
Omg you are not going to believe this but, I was literally just listening/watching the video to this song 5 mins before I received the notification that you had a new post, and was thinking "I should suggest this to Ty, I'd love to see his reaction" Haha. Wow...you must be psychic. 🧙♂️
The lead singer (Michael aka Milli) wrote this as a testament to his love for his then fiance and soon after wife. there are songs you like. and love. then theres songs like this that go into your playlist . his voice is otherworldly. they are still playing today and are Mega Stars in South Korea. hide your glassware.
Great reaction and great song!!!😃 the lead singer still performs live short hair now lol!! But in his 50s still hits all those high notes live in concert he really took great care of himself and voice, unlike some .
They're from Connecticut. I'm from Connecticut. Saw them many times in the local clubs whn they were coming up. The singer's name is Miljenko Matijevic and he has probably the most range in rock history.
1:46 was literally my reaction the first time I heard this song on the radio back when it came out and I laughed so hard when I saw you have that same expression. Great reaction!
I remember hearing this song for the first time on the radio while driving and I almost had to pull over. I've never, ever heard anyone hit notes the way this guy did.
I was waiting intently for his reaction the first time the lead singer yells "LET YOU GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" He didn't disappoint. LOL!!! I forgot the video is the cut version. I had the cassette single & there were parts that were longer, especially the final chorus. Oh well. Powerful song no matter what!!!
The band formed in 89 and released their first album in 1990, by which time this genre was already on it's way out, thus production budgets were drying, demand for metal tours in the U.S. was dropping, and when Steelheart reached its peak around 1992 is when grunge hit the scene and glam/hair metal passed in to history along with bands like Steelheart that got in to the game a bit too late. Didn't help any that lead singer Mike Matijevic almost got killed by a 1000 lb stage lighting truss during a performance that crushed him in to the stage, breaking his nose, cheekbone, jaw, and twisting his spine. Their top album was their first one which made it to #40 on the Billboard top 200 but their second album in 1992 only made it to #144 of Billboard top 200 with none of the songs on that album even making the charts despite the fact that and as mentioned above, glam/hair metal was gasping its last dying breath at that point with grunge taking over so the writing was on the wall. After Mike recovered the band was revamped with new members and they came out with a third album but they changed musical style to a more alternative sound to try to stay relevant with the times but even so their third album also failed to chart despite the fact that one of the songs "We All Die Young" was featured in the Mark Wahlberg/Jennifer Aniston movie Rock Star. After that, the band pretty much accepted its fate as a One Hit Wonder and pretty much became a nostalgia band tagging on to whatever rock tour tickets they could.
I love that you drew a parallel between love songs and Elvis....also love how ya said that love songs THESE days are gettin ppl ran over by their own goddamn cars....The world has changed, too damn fast....Good to see there are still a few folks out there that prefer the world a lil slower....All my best to you and yours, sir....
I love steelheart, especially Mili the lead singer. Band members have come and gone through the years but Mili is the best vocalist ever, even today they're still touring and huge in korea..
Fun fact, Miljenko was born in Croatia (back then a republic of former Yugoslavia) in my own hometown, well city, capital, Zagreb. Moved to the states with his parents at the age of 6 though.
Man, I've been trying to get someone to react to Steel Heart She's Gone acoustic live forever & still nothing☹ Glad u at least did this one, maybe someday I'll convince someone to help me complete my mission🤣🤣🤣
Hey Ty. Can you do the song “She’s Gone” by Steelheart!!! Thank you so much. Too bad this guy got crushed by a stack of speakers at one of his concerts....just about killed him. Too sad.
They are unbelievable live, and their singer, Mili, sounds the same live. I seen them 3x and met Mili once. Humble and handsome and talented as hell! They rock even with a new album out 2 yrs ago. Glad u enjoyed it!!!
I was just as amazed when this song first came out back then, STILL love it . Glad you enjoyed. I love your videos dude . Just wondering, what's your favorite song you had a amazing reaction to ? Just wondering 😉
Awesome song! Classic rock will never be the same again. The 80's and 90's were it! If you like this song check out the group Scorpions. They also had a few unforgettable hits. Similar vocals.
Please react to Steelheart's "All Your Love" Thee amazing vocals mixed with the killer guitar solo makes for another power ballad to love. Keeping on fighting the good fight.
Hell yes! I’m an 80,s hair band lover!! Not just the hair but the Rick! We have no bands anymore with the talent to actually play the instruments and SING! Rock on Eagles, Heart, Slaughter etc!!!!
Heard this singer call from a phone booth to a radio station in Memphis for an interview. The DJ asked him if that was his natural voice. He belted out high notes that sounded like he was in a studio.
Funny how such a song can take one back to a much simpler time, I remember when Steelheart came out. Faster Pussycat,Enuff Z Nuff,Siagon Kick,L.A.Guns, to name a few bands that was so underrated, Tora Tora is another great band from the 80's era.
He is still out there touring with Steelheart. His name is Miljenko(the J is pronounced like a Y as in YES)Matijevic. He can still hit those high notes. Especially the one at the end. Love the fact that you did this. Thank you. =)
Miljenko Matijevic has one of the most iconic rock voices in the history of that genre, and he STILL amazes today

razor blades to my eardrums in 91 still hurts
The problem with "hairbands" is they mostly sounded like boy band music but with stronger guitars to throw you off.
he still sounds great today.
@@jumpfart666 that song came out in 1990

Such a powerful song one of my all time favorites 👍 I saw these dudes open for ac/dc
God bless you.... another good video..ty ..🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣omg the ending
Please react to Steelheart's "All Your Love" Thee amazing vocals mixed with the killer guitar solo makes for another power ballad to love. Keeping on fighting the good fight.
steelheart rocks
I used to play this over and over and over!!one my favorites,RIP Anna beckwith
Hell yes! I’m an 80,s hair band lover!! Not just the hair but the Rick! We have no bands anymore with the talent to actually play the instruments and SING! Rock on Eagles, Heart, Slaughter etc!!!!
Love the 80s
20K....That’s awesome. Been telling friends and family about your channel.
Heard this singer call from a phone booth to a radio station in Memphis for an interview. The DJ asked him if that was his natural voice. He belted out high notes that sounded like he was in a studio.
The singer of this band's story is unbelievable.
Your eyes are glued to it. Amazing vocals
Thank you. =)
