But no seriously, i think this is the first SDF ive ever watched where the Top 24s and 12s were the highlights of the Hip-hop category. Big respect to Majid though he killed it. His form has been great this year.
Majid knew he didn't need to go another gear in this exchange. You need another special kind of partner and performance to just go another level in that conversation.
The New York OG's were saying for a long time that isolations and waving are the European staple. There is a line though that you can cross where it's arguably not hip hop anymore when you do little else. I'd like to say it's on the judges to keep that line alive but uhm...
@@agnaldomarques7948 I believe that he brought it up because when you look at the European side of the culture since it’s physically removed from the source i.e New York, their perspective of hip hop gets a little shaky. Less and less about the basics (bounce, rock, groove) and more about iso and waves. Which is not a bad thing because I do believe that Hip Hop is accepting enough and cover a large ground in terms of influence in the world. But the thing is SDF being established in Europe as being one of the biggest battles in the world and it’s mostly an European crowd. It becomes difficult for someone who’s been taught the basics from the source, get on a SDF stage and not even get the crowd cheering for you because you don’t have ‘’moves’’ or crazy iso.
@@agnaldomarques7948 I bounced off of what Majid said with his answer: "He's a dope dancer, yeah? But then it's called Hip Hop forever so I won." I'm just adding a bit perspective to that statement. I didn't mention any names to not seem like I'm attacking anybody. As I would like more discussion on this from all kinds of perspectives without it being about anybody in particular. I'm not even saying the OGs are always right or anything like that. Just a piece of info to consider on everybody's own journey.
Majid is actually my favorite dancer rn, so happy he finally is back in form after being not for a couple years now. Shows that putting in the work in the lab helps
Kefton getting this far is something. Wouldn't have expected it but good for him. However, i don't think he stood a chance. Good on Majid questioning if it's hiphop forvever. I appreciate Majid winning because his style is wholely unique but remains within hiphop. It's not an abstract interpretation of hiphop like Kefton and some others who throw in hiphop elements when their eccentrics stop for a moment. Well done.
Majid talkin that sht ahaha, it rly was an easy finals for him tho. Overall i had more fun watching the top 24 and 12 than the semis and the finals. I cant be the only one
I dont think you gave Majid's first round enough credit. I thought it was sick. There were a couple parts of Keftons last round i enjoyed but the whole time it felt like he was half asleep. Felt like majid used 40% of his energy and skill for this and still killed it
Glad to see I'm not the only one that doesn't really get Kefton. I've seen one battle with him and the other lighter skinned guy popping during fusion concept 2019 where I thought he was good and never saw another performance that topped that. Kefton looks like somebody playing around who can't really dance but I'm not a dancer so I say that with no disrespect.
@@vekksblackman i think he just hasnt been training properly (he himself admitted on his IG that he didnt train seriously for like 3 years) and now the world has caught up. However if You're not a dancer I do wanna precise that some very good dancers are gonna look very boring (or even very bad) to you.
Kefton loss is due to the fact that he started the round while majod coming second got room for music understanding and prepare combos adding ip and responding to kefton who pretty much did show how to dance to the music
Would you ever cover breaking in the same way? As someone who now breaks but got into dance through hiphop, I appreciate this level of critique but it doesn’t exist for breaking.
I’m still trying to figure out how Kefton keeps showing up in these big battles against these AMAZING dancers… because he comes off as slightly above average…to ME! All the battles I’ve seen him in, his style just seems limited and he comes off as flat and low-energy.
Cause his head is far up certain people their asses ;) He shouldnt be there in my opnion! he is literly a waste of space! gatekeeper to the younger generation. in dutch: MISGUNNER not even hiphop style he does! mofo doesnt even bounce! Buddha stretch should do a comment! on kefton! tell the world that he is actually popping.
Kefton with the 3-0 you love to see it. The master was in session today. Majid didn't stand a chance. Kefton had dynamics, musicality, mathematics, semantics, height advantage, better nails and superior popping technique. 😅😅 RIP Majid is all I'll say. Congrats to Kefton for winning SDF 2016. 🔥🔥
Majid really won the finals with a Costco sample of what he do
But no seriously, i think this is the first SDF ive ever watched where the Top 24s and 12s were the highlights of the Hip-hop category.

Now i have to go watch how in the world Kefton got to the finals.
him being a judge helped him a lot for sdf
Haha I here that😂😆

No disrespect to Kefton but I now have to see who he battled beforehand. He wasnt giving "the finals" energy.
he battled roshka .. i did not even watched the battle.. But I already knew.. Rochka vs Majid Final would have been more energetic

Thank you for bringing up this point!
Most European dance to be honest including krump. Basics deficiency
i agree but why did u brought this up? because of majid or kefton?

I like how the comments here are full of people with actual brains cause the comments under the battles are a hot mess

Would love to see a Majid vs Waydi or Paradox rematch
"Damn, you still do that?" Bruh you're hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
Kefton eliminating Alex, Evion and others better than him really took a toll on him.
😭😭😭
3-0 Majid, congratulations to him
Broo you have to react to the battle of Evion and Rochka!!

10:25 i think that every time i watch him, he might as well be a popper

This whole event was too calm, didn't have the battle energy
way too calm for a final
Bro u need to react to Dykens on Battle Bad 2024
honestly i usually find it hard to vibe with both Kefton and Majid
but i liked them both a lot in this one
Same
Kefton lazy

Kefton will never say I lost
Kefton technicality is not appeasing to the 👁️ when he moves fast it looks alot better
Can kefton's dancing be considered hip hop?
no
@kefton time to become a popper bro ;) Or take some workshop classes from buddha stretch ;)
