  • Jennifer Maidman brought Geoffery Richardson along today when she came to collect her new Venezuelan Cuatro. She also brought her Quex Instuments Ukulele along, and the pair of them promptly sat down in the workshop to check the new instrument out. Here, they play Paul's Dance, a Penguin Cafe Orchestra classic written by Jeffes and Tye.

    Simply magic...
    Ok ....... I'm so happy and excited starting to listen Geoffrey voice on this video, looking their faces she just waiting peacefully and how he so well explain instruments and next song, but.... And then.... Start song at minute 0:50 and cut off all my existence 😨
    my breath just increase spontaneously, I start to feel so good and so critical bad just like that, so powerful this masterpiece, and all because I can percibe the soul of Simon around and I can't contain my tears imagining him alive, coming back again to look him playing this dreamed sounds,
    They recreate so delicious interpretation here. So much respect for his composer, so professional, incomparable.
    Now time to open eyes, and comeback to real world......
    How I miss you Simon.

    I'm pretty sure this forms the base melody for Tropic of Cancer. I can hear Annie's trombone in my head as I listen to this!

    I like this piece a lot. So simple, yet beautifully memorable.
    Sorry I had not subscribed before. I am pleased I did not miss. So who makes the instruments?

    Lovely, one of my favourite tunes. What is the difference between a cuato and a ukulele please.

    • @TheWildlifeStudio
      @TheWildlifeStudio  7 лет назад +1

      Cuatro is slightly larger, on par with a baritone Uke and the stringing is slightly different. The Uke has high re-entrant tuning where the 4th string is an octave higher and the Cuatro has low re-entrant, where the 1st sting is an octave lower. HIH

      I thought a cuatro also typically has two-string courses but I don't see it here?
