75% chance for big decrease speed on a rare is pretty massive.
What I love about fortus passive is that it doesn't revive, place a revive on death, place a block damage, or place an unkillable like skathix, leorious, skullcrown, elegaius, godseeker, tormin, etc. It prevents his death. why is that significant? Because that means that he cannot be killed by a block revive champ (tormin, godseeker, etc.) and he cannot be killed if a block buffs is on him (Leo, skullcrown). in order to kill him in a single attack, the attack would need to have multiple hits, and the hits after the first hit would need to fully deplete his health. He is defense, and he will be cleansed off after the "fatal" blow, so that will be extremely hard to pull off.
Also, self Sleep is better than tormin's self freeze
So his weakness is basically Trunda. I am shocked. Shocked!

That's also assuming you don't get feared mid attack. This champ is gonna be wild. especially if paired with a Godseeker/Kymar
I wouldn't get too excited, since descriptions can be very misleading. We just had that with Mighty Ukko. There is also the fact that he could be asleep while his fear/true fear is on, so you bascially need someone else that can do AoE fear as well to insure you can really take advantage of his full kit.
Ramantu totally destroys his passive as always though.

What if you paired Fortus with Conellia? On her A2, whenever an enemy wakes from sleep placed by that skill, she has a 75% chance to place a fear debuff. you might have some fun with that pair.
Ma'Shalled's A2 could also be good with Fortus.
To me Fortus sounds like made for a pair with Pharsalas in a go second team? Pharsalas passive throws fear whenever a champ goes below 50% i think and since Fortus can't die from the first hit... At least that way you could build him without accuracy.

Second champ also isn’t affected by block revive since his skill doesn’t actually allow death
Fortus and UDK seems natural for pretty much anyone who pulls Fortus, if anything just to test him out. Learned to duck all Ma'shalled teams in Arena, now I have another champ to put on that list.

Kinda looking forward to pairing the new fusion with Thea as they're both Force. Should be some silly damage right there.
Fortus his hidden skill does not say it's capped on damage, On the long run in stalling defense teams that put out fears, his damage could rack up to an insane ammount

Fortus is like a Cthulhu avatar or something like that, even looks a bit like it. Him and Connelia could do wonders with her AOE sleep to fear turning skill.
I think the void leg would be very good in a go second team, so he stays alive, gets a turn then do his a2, and with some luck he proc his a3.
Tomoe seems useful also in Events that are faction based. And maybe there is foing to be more Faction focused content coming soon.

@@powergamerx425 absolutely. I don't near teams that have him in haha. I actually pulled him years ago and used him as food (same with Candraphon and Lord Champfort or whatever he's called). And I wonder why I'm useless at the game hahaha!

Legos look good to me working on Thea because to really get the most out of hex need to get it on a mob...a1 hex! Really excited about that epic though putting her with Ninja,Lady Kimi, Jintoro and Kinagashi looks so OP. Hey a Shadowkin team doesn't look bad pve and more and more these days there are faction only tourney's!

I do think I'll take a copy or two of the Epic for Faction Guardians though; I have a ton of Shadowkin Epics but I have few duplicates, so taking a few copies of that is nice. A well-defined niche for Faction Guardians... or maybe Shadowkin-only content. Shadowkin-only Secret Room (if we ever get any?). I can also see it work in Arena; Arbiter + new Epic + Karato + Yumeko. Not that I have the Shadowkin Leggo's, but I want to throw the idea out there because it looks interesting...
The rare... meh, but we have surprisingly few High Elf rares and he's at least useful for Fire Knight if you are a newer player, so I kind of like him. He's an average (but balanced) Rare with a well-defined niche for new players, and I can approve of that.
Does Fortus up the chances of all fears or just his own?

Conella speed lead aoe sleep, fortus does true fear attack, thylessa spreads debuffs,tomb lord aoe burn.??
would fortus wake up the target on ,hit then the fear debuff from conella trigger,then the true fear from fortus?
With Yoshi for speed lead and acc + atk up, the new epic for speed boost + crit rate up, Genshin for def down and finally Genbo for the nuke i guess you can build a somewhat decent arena team?
very much on the fence about the fusion. kinda burned out on fusions at the moment, but on the flip side how juicy/good might the impeding Halloween fusion be? generally pretty cool champs.... I might have enough to get through this fusion but certainly won't be stocked enough for the unknown coming....
I hear you mate - 16 of the same NEW rare - i think i managed to get 8-9 Lamburs last time and i just gave up as I knew there was no chance I'd get the rest, and level/ascend them and then level ascend the 4 epics. Felt like i was turning into an automaton...
Looking at how Fortus is thematically a Lovecraftian monster (emphasis on fear effects, the Stars and the astral), what are your thoughts for him (it?) being the "Halloween Fusion"? Or is the consensus that Maronix is the only fusion for the immediate future?
I could be wrong, because I've only been playing a little short of a year as yet. However, they usually only have one main fusion a month and don't announce the next fusion during the current one. It makes it next to impossible that he is even remotely a Halloween fusion or any type of fusion at all. He could end up the next guaranteed shard champ, but there is nothing in particular that would indicate that.

I hope they are worth something, but I got to shout out for Skraank ! He's a beast, just pulled him couple of days ago finaly a Ogryn that is fun to build, fantastic in CB, Doomtower, ... you name it!
Hellhades, please speak of this. I was trying out wierd blessing combinations. And came across something potentially gamebreaking. My Brakus, just landed 10 hits on the fireknight shield, in one attack. All with just 1 blessing star. Phantom touch. I also tried it on my Athel, which I also got one star in. And she landed a 5 hit, and even after some rounds a 7 hit, on on fireknight. Atleast the Athel could be worth metioning as I see how this is gamebreaking for early, and midgame players. Currently, Im in Arena Gold rank 4. And I switched in my Athel, and she with one star blessing wrecks.

Seems like this fusion champ's a1 would be super good against warlord teams in arena. At present, Candy is great in this role because his a1 is a multi-hitter and does so much damage, but this a1 being able to hit 2-4 times might be as good or better. As for this void lego, because the kit is so fear dependent, I think this really hurts his kit since landing fears in high end arena is very difficult. Otherwise, I wish they'd stop with these new champs every month which just make my chances of pulling champs I want or awakening my champions even lower than they currently are.
might go for the epic in the fusion only... would help my faction war crypt out, and if i get a few duplicates i'd rather have that than the lego on my f2p account bc it can help fill up my faction guardians epic up.
I want to go for the fusion but I have Candy, Skullcrown, Magnarr, Genbo. Not really a need. I guess it would help for FW, eh screw it I just talked myself out of it lol. Hope I can get some shards from the events and tournaments though

I mean, much as her kit more heavily influences her own faction - given what faction she is I think you kinda undersell her as FW only when Shadowkin probably is one of the better factions to put together a team for content. I mean, quick team I can think of even without Lego's -
Tomoe - Decrease Attack, increase C.Rate/DMG, boost TM fill, possible buff strip
Kinagashi - Revive, turn meter fill/ally attack, 40% when booked chance at dropping turn meter 10% per hit on a 2 hit
Fenshi - triple hit A1 that can place Decrease Speed, 2 turn CD triple hit that can drop turn meter 15% per hit and 75% chance to land it, double hit with 3 turn poisons and ignores DEF based on number of poison's on target
Chani - Poison sensitivity, HP burn, Debuff extension
5th you could go with Kunoichi for ally protect and weaken, Burnagiri for semi broken survivability, or if you have Oboro can actually do Decrease DEF (the one weakness this faction has is a lack of that and weaken on Epics).
Which depending on that wording - Jintoro has that passive that boosts only his TM fill - what if they overlap? He's already crazy with the weaken/Decrease Def, either a turn meter steal (that gets boosted) or a cooldown on the A3 if it can't steal, and extra turns if he drops someone. People who have Ninja now you make him even faster and is useable in most dungeons. What if you already have someone insane like Riho where now you cycle back to that A2 even faster as well as her A3. I feel like some interesting teams could come from this in the short term, let alone long term if they start adding some more AoE Decrease DEF/Weaken to the faction and the like.
I’m just doing this fusion . So I can have sone CvC points down the road by building it . Don’t particular need it have trunda and candy and bunch of other options

Elder Skarg is the clear best choice to pair with Fortus because Elder Skarg has irresistible aoe fear
It is conditional though, he has to land all 3 extra hits, so the enemy has to have at least 3 buffs/debuffs and not die from the 6 hit hammer Elder Skarg drops on them.
@@suntiger745 that's the true fear your talking about on his a2. The aoe fear place on the a3 has no conditions.
The kit of the fear champion would have made for a great Halloween fusion!
Agree that the fear thing does lead thematically, but my account lacks any champion that really helps make him effective. While the Halloween fusion really doesn't need someone else. She can easily support herself without needing to pray things work out and can support other champions like Ruel. With that sleep on the passive, Fortus really needs another AoE fear champ to help things along.

I'm not 100% sure but my theory of the last boss in campaign after killing the guys beside him or not just use normal A1 attacks he does not use peril
With old school fusions they maybe a little harder for some but think they are better. If u don't finish it you still get almost free champions. Not like shard fusions where your just SOL if you miss out of like 5 shards. This needs to be looked at more.

Fortus pairs nicely with ma'shalled, yoshi, madame, harvest jack. none of which are in Knight Rev.
I would complain about about that, except for the fact that he is a Void lego. If he had been undead, very few players will pull Fortus and harvest jack/ma'shalled before they finished FW anyway.
Thea would be a good option with her passive, you'd just be delayed by one turn, but definitely could reap the benefits if that hidden skill stacks across rounds.
Double H . Try Fortus with Abel on test server and see how well the combo works, I see some potential.

I do wish they had an info page about what debuffs/buffs do, majority of the buffs and debuffs are self-explanatory, but others like Hex is still a mystery to me, like what does Hex do again lol? Even I'm not sure what Weaken does or what is the difference between Weaken and Decrease Defense. But ye, the new champions look really nice and they seem pretty cool!
Weaken is straight up 25% more damage dealt, same as Strengthen is 25% damage reduction.
Hex now causes small amount (3%) of damage dealt to one champ to spread to all champs under Hex. Essentially bonus AOE damage.

Fun combo I’m not seeing a lot of people mention is running Tomoe w Genzin as mega Busted. She gives him all the crit buffs, boost his TM gain across the board (21.6% for his a1, 60% for a2 against a full team, 36/72% for a3), and counterattack for his a1.

I eant this fusion champ for 2 reasons, 1 being because champs has aoe dec def and hex.. which is what hex debuff champs were lacking. 2 being I like shiney gold champs

I think Fortus is the missing piece to the Guurda, Kalvalax, and Nobel combo in arena lol. Just pack him with 400 Crit damage and watch him go lol.
if fortus was a atk based champ he would be the definition of a glass canon, no need for acc, crit rate and you want him to be "killed" so can build squishy, i guess you will build with high def and crit damage and go to town
I think it's time for plarium to increase the drop rate of legendaries or have a 20x chance of pulling them cause the pool is too big right now
Instaed of being a x10, it should be a 10% chance to pull the featured Champ.

Skipping this fusion. I have Yumeko (2 star blessing) and will have Mithrala soon enough. Also have Cleopterix and Thylessia so altogether I have hex covered.
Cleopterix hits harder than Maranix, so if you've played for a year already this fusion is skippable
might get this rare champ for fire knight as im stuggling in that content f2p must take what they get i guess lol

If she was a fragment I would go for it since I don't have to level and rank the epics plus all the rares. Fusion shes not worth the trouble for me.
Fortus is really going to be only a wave clearer, arena he might be good on offence but for defense one inquisitor shamael and he is completely negated which really hurts his value imo

definitely skipping this fusion. Might pick up the rares as food champions when using my energy during the super raids for the dungeon events, but not going to actively try for them. I'll probably try for whatever coins or shards for the they might offer for the events/tournaments maybe.
