23:04 Yeah, they only give you 10 days. A few years back I had my car stolen and then totaled in a high speed chase, so the police had it towed to the tow company across town that they're partnered with. And after I had my mode of travel stolen and destroyed, I was then left with a $300+ fee I'd have to pay on the police's behalf for having my vehicle towed there. I had to pay this BEFORE I was allowed to take my car off the lot where I'd have to get ANOTHER tow to take the car somewhere and assess the car for my shit insurance I could already barely afford. On top of all of that, the tow company had additional fees of $40 per day the car was in their lot of "lot insurance" in case the car was damaged in their care. So I'm left without my vehicle and having to pay for ubers to get to/from work since I work odd hours, already tight on money because of the paycheck to paycheck lifestyle, the lot fee climbing by the day as I'm trying to figure out how the fuck to get my wrecked car out of the tow lot with only 10 days to get this shit figured out or else they were gonna have my car junked. Ultimately got it taken care of thanks to a family friend lending a hand, but that was probably the most stressful 10 days of my life.

I believe it's referencing the Uvalde school shooting, where there were many police officers who stood outside the school not doing anything, and they even stopped parents from trying to get into the school and do something. Eventually they went inside, but everyone still inside was already dead, including the shooter. It was awful, and many people are rightfully blaming the police for doing nothing while children were being murdered.
@@mixedpalette6144 they initially reported that, but later revealed they killed the shooter; he didn't kill himself. Dangerous guy on the loose with an assault-style gun in a small town?? The school should have been told and put in lockdown as soon as they learned he was out there armed and dangerous. My small-town middle school locked down once because some guy wandered off from the local psychiatric hospital, ffs. This is a dangerous fugitive with clear intent to kill and they didn't seem to warn the community in time to do anything
So, Village is used in every state. It's usually used to indicate population size. In Ohio, it refers to a place with a population between 1,600 and 5,000
i live in Southwestern Ohio tiny towns are villages soda is pop for some people dinner and or lunch is supper, I don't know why? But I live in Dayton so I'm 50 miles north of Cincinnati so to a degree we sound a little more southern than someone in say Cleveland..
So this guy was getting paid leave and still went to work to make some extra money illegally? Why bother? You are literally getting paid to relax at home, that sounds great.
The fucking turn this took toward the end straight up woke me up as about to fall asleep. He's still dodging the questions so dismissinvely just like about all the theft stuff, still as if nobody has any real info on anything going on. The way the other officer says "The three that were *there.*" was full of "cut the shit" but also "you need help." And then he has to go back to dealing with the chief not taking anything seriously and he just has to switch back to that mode of asking questions and its a weird feeling.
Yes, it's what Rain said. Specifically the Uvalde shooting, even though there's been a bunch of other shit that has happened. Every day, I hear a new way the Uvalde school shooting was mismanaged. How due to the police sitting on their asses caused the deaths of multiple children and teachers. It's absolutely horrible, and if this doesn't open up people's eyes to the need of reform, I don't know what will.
@@goreslashdow3813 there are rumors/implications suggesting that police may have shot at least one child accidentally. Only rumors so far, but it wouldn't surprise me. At one point, police called out to the kids in the classroom asking them to respond if they were alive -- which goes against all training they give cops and kids for active shooter situations, btw -- one girl answered the cop, causing the shooter to realize she was alive and kill her. last I heard they're refusing to cooperate with the investigation into their handling of the shooting so. yeah.

If anyone was interested in this then I highly recommend the podcast Over My Dead Body, the season about the death of a "hero cop" much like the dude being interviewed here.
My brother was having a breakdown one time after we both finished work. I told him to let me drive him home because I didn’t think it was safe for him to drive himself. He agreed but was adamant he would drive his car home anyways. He got in my car because I told him we can drive around and talk. We where driving around a parking lot when a cop pulled me over and started yelling at us both claiming that I almost hit him (I wasn’t even close to him.) we both where sobbing and it was so obvious that something was clearly going on but he just screamed at us and then left. I remember being so fucking angry for the blatant disregard in the situation exhibited by the cop. Not once an “are you ok?” “Why are you both crying?” “Do you need any help?” He was so caught up on “almost being hit” that he was fucking oblivious. It’s scary to think people like that are cops.
Listening to this as background noise (i.e. not always reading subtitles) I deadass thought he said “his favorite word was bofa” and was like no fucking WAY is this guy trying to set up a deez nuts joke in an interrogation
"Just to remind you, this guy never would have been in trouble if he didn't get caught doing something wrong. They never would have investigated him if they never had probable cause or reasonable suspicion. God, police are so corrupt." Brilliant commentary.
Hhhh it bothers my how little help the police have been, even in small towns like mine. I remember when somebody was trying to break into our house, they were slamming on our front door and almost busted it off the hinges and we called the police. It was just my mom, myself, and the babies, and we didn't have a weapon in the house but we told the person that we did. Dude ended up leaving at some point, probably thinking that the cops were on their way. Not because the cops actually showed up. What they DID do was drive right past our house. Didn't ever stop or make contact with us or set foot on the property, didn't get out of the car. And they didn't find the guy. They literally just. Drove right on by.

@@mixedpalette6144 That's just fucking vile goddamn
@@mixedpalette6144 they initially reported that, but later revealed they killed the shooter; he didn't kill himself.
The more I read about it the worse it gets. like how he shot his GRANDMOTHER in the head before the spree...she survived and called 911 to report him, but they didn't do anything much with that information.
57:06 Jeff goes to a different school you wouldn't know him
sneeg snatch crime time let’s goooooo
I appreciate what you do
what an important channel.
Keep on livin ✌️
Hope Sneeg's glass making in RuneScape went well.
In Ohio villages are basically dying towns where like 20 people live. You rarely hear people call them that but its on plenty of signage
This guy is just scully and hitchcock combined into one person
So, Village is used in every state. It's usually used to indicate population size. In Ohio, it refers to a place with a population between 1,600 and 5,000
Hell yeah new crime time
i live in Southwestern Ohio tiny towns are villages soda is pop for some people dinner and or lunch is supper, I don't know why? But I live in Dayton so I'm 50 miles north of Cincinnati so to a degree we sound a little more southern than someone in say Cleveland..
So this guy was getting paid leave and still went to work to make some extra money illegally? Why bother? You are literally getting paid to relax at home, that sounds great.
The fucking turn this took toward the end straight up woke me up as about to fall asleep.
He's still dodging the questions so dismissinvely just like about all the theft stuff, still as if nobody has any real info on anything going on. The way the other officer says "The three that were *there.*" was full of "cut the shit" but also "you need help."
And then he has to go back to dealing with the chief not taking anything seriously and he just has to switch back to that mode of asking questions and its a weird feeling.
Damn this man is spherical I love that for him
He should lift a bit though so his arms match his body lol
Annoying orange needs to get out of the police and lift weights lmao
I think the auxiliary hours they're referring to are used to gain funding for the department. It's not the work hours they get paid on.
Wait ive been in my depression hole, whats up with the police recently?
leaving a comment incase someone explains what’s been happening because i’ve also been in my depression hole
I think it’s about the school shooting where the police just stood outside the school instead of going in to save to kids
@@RainHM damn yeah okay that's fucked
Yes, it's what Rain said. Specifically the Uvalde shooting, even though there's been a bunch of other shit that has happened.
Every day, I hear a new way the Uvalde school shooting was mismanaged. How due to the police sitting on their asses caused the deaths of multiple children and teachers. It's absolutely horrible, and if this doesn't open up people's eyes to the need of reform, I don't know what will.
@@goreslashdow3813 there are rumors/implications suggesting that police may have shot at least one child accidentally. Only rumors so far, but it wouldn't surprise me. At one point, police called out to the kids in the classroom asking them to respond if they were alive -- which goes against all training they give cops and kids for active shooter situations, btw -- one girl answered the cop, causing the shooter to realize she was alive and kill her.
last I heard they're refusing to cooperate with the investigation into their handling of the shooting so. yeah.
Some jobs have a policy that sick leave is different than vacation leave, and you accrue them separately. I do not like that arrangement but it’s a thing.
Man Jeff is so far under the bus he’s wrapped around the back wheels.
Chief of police "Almost wasn't caught"
Well gee, I wonder why
I know I'm a year late with this message but I have to respond. I live across the river from St Louis in Illinois. Our town is called a village and most of them around here are. As a side note, we also call the last meal of the day supper, haha.
Thanks for the video, God bless.
He pays them off of vibes
26:19 I use to live in an actual village🧍🏻
Lmao the embroidered lancer in the back

You're telling me an Ethernet cable edited this video??
If anyone was interested in this then I highly recommend the podcast Over My Dead Body, the season about the death of a "hero cop" much like the dude being interviewed here.
29:44 is he
Is he mansplaining a drs note

I love looking at crime
Main interrigator kind of talks like JK Simmons lmao
They can't charge you if you pretend ur dumb hard enough, right?
i live in a “village” in IL
objection!
Why?
That's Devastating to my case!!
Allllways watching, Wizowski. Allllllways watching.
1:02:25 they're getting paid in exposure
Woo woo, crime time!
is this chief an alternate version of DSP
Listening to this as background noise (i.e. not always reading subtitles) I deadass thought he said “his favorite word was bofa” and was like no fucking WAY is this guy trying to set up a deez nuts joke in an interrogation
This is what should have happened with the Uvalde police chief.
"It's mid west it's this"
Village. Is. French
new crime time :D
He skipped arm day.
You know, if you wanted to cut the belches out of these uploads…that would be ok 😅
Hey y'all, I am from Ohio and we also call our small town "a village" I guess it's just a thing we do. 🤷♀️
Dude is built like mike wazowski
