If I had to describe the mood of this song, I'd have to call it "Divine Comedy", (not too dissimilar as in the Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri). It's so dark, it's like you are being not only punished by a divine force, but it's as if you are being taunted for how helpless you are, as if this is all just a joke to the one in charge. At least that's the feeling this song gives me, and the fact that it is so evocative to me makes me think this is a truly impressive song! 🎵🎶
I like the interpretation. It does fit as well with the more calmer darker parts, which might reflect the feeling of the person being tortured in this. It sounds depressing, but accepting, as if the person has no choice in this and just goes along with it with no hope whatsoever
