Jay Rell's freestyling was on point. I'd like to see all of these battle rappers incorporate the improvisation aspect. It actually makes it more interesting!

ThatFGuy916 I don't disagree. His delivery could be better. He raps like he's a ghost writer, just spewing lyrics with very lil pizazz...but I'd take his bars with that style over all the loud basic bars any day.
Oh no doubt about it, his Barz stay on point and I can't stand dudes like K-Shine who get hella loud and hyped behind mediocre set-ups and schemes. The new blood is definitely keeping it from going stagnate just hope it maintains and keeps getting better.

Ty Law had those bars and so did Jay Rell... but I think Jay's presentation was way better and he was right... i invested more in Jay as a person than I did TY... also, Jay's rebuttals were just crazy..

A few of his flows reminded me of Bill collector for sure, but obviously I'm not talking about the caliber of bars or nuin like that. He got bars for sure, better bars than some so called big names. Question for both you niggaz though what did you think of his overall performance ? he doesn't convince me at all and this was a small venue, that big stage is different, Chilla Jones is so sick to me but he doesn't come across well on the big stage at all.

I'm from the DMV and Ima Ty Law fan but that DMV crowd gassed his rounds way to much. Rell is nice and had the crowd back in the third. Rell would of won if he ain't slip up and if his freestyles was stronger.

What happened to rell?
Yo this was a dope battle on a lyrical standpoint and clash of styles. That said the winner will come down to what style you like more. For me personally I like word play, scheme, freestyle and creativity with the bars and I felt Rell gave more of that for a 2-1 win. On that same token though I felt Ty Law got Busy every round and threw punch after punch but his delivery leaves alot on the table even though his creativity and bars were on point. Crowd reaction makes it sound like Law got this hands down but there was some hate on Rell too when he gave some dope bars back. End of the day it depends on what you like and turns into a debatable but for what I like in a battle I say gritty win for Rell only because his fought a good battle and landed with almost everything he did while Law gave body blows with some nice upper cuts and chin checks and in boxing terms went for the win by out pointing him. Rell 2-1

Rell got him on swag and hes adaptable and got better performance, Law got bars though. It depends what you lookin for. I think Law was more polished and didnt fuck up at all, Rell had the freestyles and rebuttals and was more entertaining. I thought Law should get this battle though.

Jay Rell could have easily taken this if he prepared more. So Ty Law won, but Jay Rell I feel has more potential. Either way not sure why they are still in the proving grounds.
