Just got this on my emulator and it's bringing me back. I've been watching a lot of DBZ Fighterz and it makes me wish this game had more competitive features. Still my favorite DBZ game to this day.
Wow, I can't believe people still play this! Played this religiously for years. Awesome skills, so many sick counters and after images. Taking Trunks to base form was a real smart move for the high attack. Makes me wanna start training again, there's a few good juggle moves neither player used that are real hard to defend against!
I think a small improvement to this game would be the character switching. Like umvc3 had great ideas when it came to character switching. It could be useful but it could also leave you vulnerable. Also you could spend meter to make combo super attacks that switched out characters. In any case there's probably a whole host of things that could have been done to the character switching in this game but as it is it's a little plain, like the game just pauses, the dude peaces out, and the next guy comes in. I guess it just stands out since the whole game is so dynamic and the character switching is just so lame.
@@PaigeDBZBT3 Yeah I'll defer mechanically to you on that. But at least visually it's kinda plain. Could be worse I guess, it could take a lot longer and be overwrought.
bro I don't understand how you manage to always be behind your opponent? I saw your video about introduction to competitive play at tenkaichi and saw your pdf but you don't exactly explain what button do you press to be behind him, in several situations.
Key is the dragon dash as well as ascend and descend. These are much faster to move with. Especially up close. Jump go a little to the side descend and your behind the opponent. Do this with good timing and they almost cant react.

@@PaigeDBZBT3 I can see that, I've always felt a little awkward with his movement's and timing, still one of my mains though so I'm working on smoothing that out
The skill is very rewarded in this game (aka balance) thats why Paige could have consistency on his wins. Unlike actual dbz games like Fighter Z, where the chance of being combo'd by someone relies in some random factors, and even the best cant be that consistent because of that. Its amazing how well balance dbz tenkaichi 3 was :-)
@@Holacalaca If you watch most proffesional players, its basically blocking basical hits, and expect to land one hit to do a combo, there's not much you can do, you just get unlucky and can't recover or counterattack quickly, unlike in dbz3 u can stop combos and give the player more chances. Thats my PoV...
Jogo no ps2 e tenho me aprimorado recentemente, porém se eu tivesse a oportunidade de jogar contra alguém com nível de Paige dificilmente seria um desafio visto que os times e movimentação dele são incríveis, talvez em um futuro não muito distante levando em consideração meu progresso eu consiga jogar dessa maneira e quem sabe além

@@davidebellucci5207 My statement isn't akin to "git gud", it's saying that people at the top level of gameplay would ruin the majority of other people, even if they played with "bottom tier" characters. It's just the level difference between pros and people. Tier lists are subjective, not objective. Otherwise there wouldn't be 10 different lists for every game when you google its tier list.
