Get those Mathesons to the top of your TBR pile - He's a genre master and in a just world his name would be as well known as Ray Bradbury. Currently reading Hell House myself.
The Audie Murphy book is an authentic autobiography made into a film, To Hell and Back with him in the lead role. Murphy is surprisingly modest. He went on to numerous Western movies including the excellent remake, Destry.
Alpine Partisan (around 10:02) by Vivian Milroy is a great read by the way. A quite unknown prisoner of war story, it takes a little while to get going but it is such a great story. I've got quite the collection of them to go through but it is one of my favourites so far. I would recommend it! Your copy is also in very good condition, any copy I have seen (corgi paperback versions) for sale has been hammered!
Thanks so much, one to take a closer look at. Did you see my video from last year on POW vintage paperbacks? ruclips.net/video/aqy2IXZ2l0A/видео.htmlsi=UdzwdOH_K7_q3BOx
Hi Jules. Great video, really enjoyed seeing all those together! I collect Corgis too and I've been doing a bit of work on putting together a list of books they published. I'll send you an email which might help clear up some of the numbering questions you raised 🙂 Cheers, Gordon
None, I won't have any damp books in my collection, it can easily spread. Also, I run a dehumidifier for a day or two a week, just to keep everything bone dry.
FORBIDDEN PLANET actually spelled out the price on the cover as “Two Shillings” instead of using numerals. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that on a paperback book before?
Jules, nice group of Corgis, some i have never seen before, thanks.
Thanks Gary, still not that common over here, only finding them in the wild occasionally.👍
Love the collection update thanks for sharing
Thanks 🙂

On it my friend! I've read a couple of them 🙂

Thanks for the show and tell. 17:24 saw the movie
Excellent Sylvan👍
You should read the book. It's one of the most powerful war memoirs I've ever read.
@squinkque it's on the list👍
Great stuff, as usual, Jules!
Thanks Bob, looking forward to the next MAQ🙂
@@JulesBurt Thanks, amigo! I think it will be released the first week of March.

Thanks Gordon, that will definitely help me out🙂
That's a great collection, but how many of them smell like mildew?

I'm sure I have but can't think of any off the top of my head! 🙂
