With this video, you have narrowed my chances of getting this machine. Wasn't sure if abs crunch can be done on it, including tightening inner thighs. I see that all can be done. I especially liked the exercise you showed for tightening back of the arms. I don't understand how we use our arms to do everything yet we always get this flab or softness on the upper arm. Thank you. I most likely will be purchasing this
+Mark Austin ... Disclaimer: use at your own risk. You basically have to rigged it yourself; it's not advocated anywhere by total gym. But get the weight bar accessory. Hook resistance band to the weight bar, and the other end to the foot of the unit. I personally have the XLS and FIT because the GTS is too expensive. I got the additional weight bar accessory in conjunction with resistance band and weight plates for added resistance.
+Mark Austin ... One other thing to take note (and if I were to get a GTS in the distant distant future), you may not even need to use resistance bands because of the GTS's higher weight capacity of 650lb. GTS users could simply use added weight plates. The only reason why I had to use resistance bands for the XLS/FIT model is because of the workout resistance at maximum loaded 400lb(XLS) and 450lb(FIX) weight capacity is only 248lb (XLS) and 279lb (FIT), both of which isn't heavy enough for two legged standard squat. www.totalgym.com/Images/Product/Documents/Total%20Gym%20Owners%20Guide_Spec.pdf All total gym models uses a max resistance of approximately 62% of the total weight loaded onto the glideboard (person plus extra weight plates). GTS: 650lb x 62% = 403lb of actual real resistance at highest incline XLS: 400lb x 62% = 248lb of actual real resistance at highest incline FIT: 450lb x 62% = 279lb of actual real resistance at highest incline With the GTS, 403lb may not be enough resistance for a two legged standard squat depending on the user, but it would definitely be enough for a single leg squat. And no, my max barbell squat ever was 275lb x1, but that was many years ago. However, resistance are also cheaper than weight plates and resistance bands are also much cheaper to store. I wish I had a GTS. Lucky you.
thanks for this info, I really appreciate it, my GTS is arriving tomorrow :-) I also like the resistance bands particularly for squats and pressing because of the correlation with the strength curve of those movements
+Mark Austin ... Just curious, how much did you get the GTS for (and was it through total gym direct officially)? If you're not comfortable saying, that's okay. It's one of the best equipment I think anyone could buy for themselves because it's compact and can be stored away after a workout, and actually works even when lifting heavy. And if one actually ever decides to move, it's easy to transport. What other accessories did you get with it besides the weight bar attachment? When you get a chance to give it a go for the week, I would love to hear your impressions on it.

Nice video
Excellent video. Thank you.
thanks for the video, is there any way to add rubber band resistance to the GTS ?

thanks for taking the time to reply, I have ordered the GTS with the weight bar and will try the configuration you suggested with the rubber bands

Women love it when you ignore them in this way (in pursuit of money). He has her in the palm of his hands now. Humans are weird.
