Buster got the MVP and Panda pumped 3 HRs in a WS game. Complete team, Craw got the gold gloves, the Bullpen was so dominant. I hope this new group of kids becomes something. Ramos and Bailey and Fitzgerald look fun. Casey too.
As a Dodgers fan, I'm still so happy that Kevin Cash had a brainfart in game #6 of the 2020 World Series, and pulled Snell out of the game in the 6th inning when he had been dealing all night and shutting us down. We almost immediately scored as soon as he was pulled from the game. Snell is deadly when he is having a good game.

Since we swept you we picked up several TOP pitchers.
2nd half Blake Snell is as dominant of a pitcher you’ll find in baseball. If the Giants keep him, Webb, and Ray together the potential o& this rotation is absolutely insane

As a Rays fan, I’m happy for Blake. Usually when we trade away pitchers they decline quickly and it made sense to trade them, but he’s been one of the exceptions. Wish we had kept him in that World Series game against LA haha!

Kinda crazy though how for a guy who's already won 2 Cy Young Awards , this was somehow the very first time he's ever pitched in a 9th inning in the majors, let alone thrown a complete game lol

Interesting to see two no hitters recently pitched by two pitchers that strike a lot of guys out - you would think it’d be less likely due to the pitch counts, but here we are. Happy to see Snell returning to form. Wished the Padres would have paid him to stick around, and although he’s now on a division rival, I still root for the guy.
I saw this and had to comment about it. Blake Snell, one of 22 men to have at least 2 Cy Young awards, had NEVER pitched in the 9th inning until this no hitter. That just blew my mind. Zero complete games and 2 CY Youngs as a starter. Crazy stuff.
He's basically like Randy Johnson was throwing 25 years ago. Except not from 6'10" arm angle. He's got a changeup too. But 97 fastball and 88 slider was Unit's repertoire. Hitters caught up to speed a lot in 25 years but it still goes to show how dominant UNIT was.
This is what happens when a pitcher is on a roll and a competent manager actually focuses more on how dominant a pitcher is and not on whether its the third time through the order or not. What a dominant performance!
