Conor was bigger than the 2016 ufc but the ufc of 2024 ( after the espn deal and being the only sport people arround the world watched during the pandemic when all the other sport weren't allowed) is 100% bigger than conor now and they don't need him, in the end conor is only part of the ufc just like the other 700 fighters in the roster.
dana white alone is arguably is as big of a star as conor and if he could fight on ppv I bet his numbers would be just as big as conor's.

This was their monthly q and a shows. these are no holds barred. they'll have plenty of ufc 305 coverage.
They did talk about Dan v Gamrot towards the end. Kai v Ecerg is the only one of the top 3 fights that didn't make the cut. However, there'll a 305 dedicated preview show later.

Those two things will increase the production value exponentially. Think of it as an investment in yourself
If the TV deal was up at the end of the year, I would see them shelving Conor and using him as a selling point to a streaming platform for 2 events, probably more value in a great deal with Netflix or another platform than two big PPVs. But since it's only in 2026, I don't get it. Unless they've planned all their events this year...
So Ariel quit mmafighting for his dream job at ESPN, then essentially fired/declined lower offer from ESPN, back to mmafighting, then declined vox media next offer? Typical weasel move doesn't surprise me.
