Nezuko's Blood Demon Art allows her to generate and manipulate special demonic flames created from her blood that are pinkish in color. Her flames have a special property which makes it only harmful to demons and objects of demon origin while being completely harmless to humans and other object she did when she burned Rui Threads when she woke Tanjiro up during Mugan and burn the ropes on Zenitsu and Inosuke ehen she burned Daki and healed both Inosuke and Tengan so we already seen her blood demon art
Correction: She didn't heal Tanjiro, Inosuke and Tengen, she simply purged the poison out of their bodies
in short: her blood demon art is the anti blood demon art blood demon art.
Nezuko doesn't just grow in size or smaller in size her mind and age goes up and down just like that too

I don't really get so much confusion about Nezuko. She's been switching in size and age literally from episode 1. Yes, if she were still a human she would be 1 year younger than Tanjiro, but she gets to do this as part of her demon abilities.
To be fair to Haganezuka, his swords are more durable than they're given credit. They are going against the blood demon arts of multiple members of the twelve blood koons and only broke in battle once. Plus the third sword survived a battle with TWO upper moon level demons wnd was only chipped. Most slayers don't have to go up against that level of brute strength especially as inexperienced as Tanjiro is.
And also being subjected to sun breathing, I mean Swordsmiths are not aware of it, and still the sword holds up it shows haganezukas skills

Your preferences in the show definitely shouldn't be judged, because we all like and dislike different things. However, I feel like there's an element to all the "stupid goofy" scenes that you guys are missing. Yes the action is top-tier and the down-time serious moments are great, but the show can't JUST be that. If that were the case, the serious moments would be less impactful and the action would get boring. There needs to be some time allocated to just goofing around to allow for some contrast of emotions for both the characters and us as an audience. You might not like the goofy stuff, which is fine, but I think you should at least try a little harder to see why it's there. That's why they never insert goofy moments in the middle of a battle or an emotional scene. If they did, then I agree THAT would ruin the show. I also personally believe that it makes the characters more relatable and down to Earth, since we all do stupid and goofy shit sometimes. We don't always do it because we're trying to make someone laugh, we just do it to make ourselves laugh or to distract ourselves. It's a very human thing.
Again, I'm not trying to invalidate your opinions or anything, I'm just trying to offer a new perspective that you might not have considered. The over-the-top comedic scenes don't always land for me either, but it doesn't ruin my watching experience that much because I feel like I understand what they're doing. But, that's just me. I just hope you guys continue with the series because the story is only going to get better from here. Yall are also really interesting and entertaining to watch, even though I have very different opinions sometimes, lol.
Another aspect you guys probably need to take away is that these are 14-15 year old kids. So they are going to be kinda childish. and it doesnt matter since the next 8 episodes are all going to be serious so I dont think an episode and a half of comedy should be bothering people too much. And yes, Nezukos change of size and behavior is explained later on
Tokito has a lot of back story that we'll get to and you'll understand why he acts the way he does. As well as the reason as to why he reacted like that to what Tanjiro said, he doesn't have selective hearing he has a lot on his mind and you'll see what I mean later on. :)
I think the funny and silly moments act as the calm before the storm.
Nezuko regressed to a mindless state once she was turned, that being why she can't talk and more or less acts accordingly to her form. But even in the adult form she is till mindless.
I could expand on that, but that would be a spoiler since it will be brought up in this very arc.
Genya became my favorite character. In a world were we're supposed to believe that there isn't actual water or fire coming out of their of the breathing technique. Genya is only character right that make sense.

I agree about Nezuko. She's cute and all okay but she's basically the ultimate plot device. She only has issues with blood thirst when the plot requires it, she goes against every possible rule established for demon powers and still somehow keeps unlocking vital abilities for the plot to continue or a character to survive just the instant it becomes relevant. She's always either playing idiot or coming in clutch at the last moment with the crucial specific skills. She's the MC's plot drive and a walking constant deux ex macchina and it gets to the point where that annoyance surpasses her cuteness. The fights are so cool that I can get lost in that and forget about her during the episode but if we speak the truth, yeah, ultimate plot device.
also should be pointed out that when she shrinks or grows big her Age and mentality go down or up along with that comes along with her demon powers and has been this stated this way since s1 episode 1
18:00, please come back in a few episodes, when certain events play out. I understand as an anime only you have no idea why at the moment, but his reaction there is reasonable, even if the gag aspect of it didn’t land for you guys

I am not a Manga reader but here are some theories about Nezuko what you said. First of all see how Muzan also can change form into a kid and adult and so an. The Scene when we was shitting on Akaza for not killing all 3 Demon Slayers in Mugen Train he was in Child form but in Season 3 in the Upper Moon meeting he was fully grown man. So this has something to do with him directly transforming her is my guess. These 2 are the only ones we know so far to do that in the show. The Second thing is about her mummbling and not talking. This does not get stated I am sure so its no spoiler. This show so greatly inspired by eastern phylosophie like Buddhism und Hinduism so Nezuko not talking has something to do with some monks taking life vows not being able to speak and therefore keeping them pure.But surely she has to express herself somehow.

Majority of the times, mangas have more details than the anime (that's the root cause of people complaining why some animes are bad but the mangas are better, ex: tokyo ghoul anime is shit in visuals, but the manga, the art, and visuals there are immaculate) in the case of demon slayer, the art style is both decent and also not in its best form.
Take note mugen train arc for example, rengoku in the manga looks bad, his has major inconsistency from the mangaka themselves. Sometimes his forehead looks big, his head looks round-dish, and his body is smaller or skinny compared to his head. But the anime fixed those inconsistencies, giving him a proper mascular body shape.
Also add the beautiful backgrounds from the anime, either of those are just "ok" looking in the manga or actually not there and, an anime-original addition.
Prediction: Love hashira comes outta nowhere at start of next ep and saves tanjiro

Yeah the comedy and silly moments in this show can be pretty hit or miss, and for me theyre a massive miss😂, i dont really mind it though, i know im here just for the action and Ufotable's quality.

I agree the first half of the episode was so intolerable, they overplay the un-animated faces and "comedy" in this show, it has become way more prevalent as the show progresses for some reason. Nezuko really needs some development as a character as well as tanjuro, they continue to get stronger but act the same way pretty much and it sucks to see it. But the 2nd half truly was too cool for me to care about the 1st half
Nezuko and Tanjiro won't ever change their personalities , this was never a point.

Literally the events of demon slayer happen in the sama year, u don't actually expect tanjiro and nezuko to grow up in such a short amount of time.
I mean Tanjiro is literally as pure hearted as possible. No matter how strong he gets there's nothing there for him to "change" with the way he acts. He could be strong enough to end Muzan with a single strike, he's still gonna act the same.
As for Nezuko, just wait a little bit, more development/changes are coming for her very soon
Id say get used to the comedy in the show because it's not gonna change. the manga's finished already and the anime has been adapting the events of the manga 1 to 1, while still cutting content here and there
Muichiro is not a serious character, he is a 14 year old kid LOL, wtf guys? He's too young, even to be serious, it's natural for Muichiro to act childishly in these scenes with Tanjiro, even more so because tanjiro has been an older brother his whole life and he apparently knows how to deal with children.

This is a village that nobody is supposed to know its location. Makes sense everybody's guard is down and that nobody was expecting this to happen. Demon slayers normally patrol at night anyway

nezuko got turned to a demon when she was 12. so she was basically frozen in that age. yet she keeps changing her size and age, while consistently acting like a kid or an animal mentality wise. i think it's kinda weird that she acts that way and that she switches between a chibi toddler and a fully developed woman with an exposed cleavage. but what's new, japanese culture is creepy :)
I do think that Nezuko bein depicted as a cute, adorable child and then sexy grown woman is a weird. Like she gets infantilized and then sexualized... like huh?
