Step back around 40,000 years ago to ice age North America where towering beasts roamed throughout. From Mammoths to Short Faced Bears, to Dire wolves, this time is truly dominated by mammalian giants.
The last ice age lasted from 2.6million to roughly 11,000 years ago and was vital for shaping the Earth we know today. All the animals we see today had evolved through this ice age and in this video we look at 5 extinct animals who no longer walk this Earth.
Ice Age North America was home to some of the Largest mammals ever discovered during the ice age, some of these ice age giants would have rivalled even some dinosaurs as they called this frozen world home.
