Are seatbelts not a thing over there or something? Ha! 😏 Umm also , recently learning about how different drive trains work and what not was a big help on understanding more on tyre placement and ambition over ability!
@@RepLicanT00100 hahaha yeah mate seatbelts are a thing over here, it just depends on the obstacle for us really. If you're between 2 banks and not going anywhere I prefer not having it on for a quicker escape just in case something happens, a sketchy rock climb along an edge, definitely 😁 Tyre placement is key but you don't always have a choice lol. What the Pajero needs is a locker or 2 and it will do almost anything
Is that a bruiser conversion jk or is it a AEV converted jk? I really like the look of the jk early gladiators conversions. Maybe a walk around of the rig would be awesome!
Hey mate, apologies for the late reply, was getting all the info first: AEV brute factory manufactured conversion pre registration. Sprintex Supercharger system on the penstar big block V6, dyno tuned (on 35"s) and mapped for 420hp at the wheels. Upgraded drivetrain to match, Bita chrome in the mix as well as heavy duty driveshafts front and rear. Factory registration (no certificate needed) 37"s tyres on 17" alloy rim's. Just installed new front and rear winch setup with seperate duel battery (2x additional 100ah 1000cca batteries) winch power pack with full remote isolation and charge system, as well as a 260amp alternator to help keep up. Lots more on the list to be added in future including possible wrapping to give it some extra bling.. and a bunch of little things that are to many to add.
@@Extremefishingnz cheers mate. the modified suspension will put the CV's on more of an angle, putting more stress on it. That added with spinning wheels & bouncing, as soon as it lands and grips, that's your CV most likely deleted. OEM CV's are best, they last longer
Use to be able to get to hut in 40min in my mistral, the track is fucked and now requires atleast an hour of solid winching. The road needs serious work, but DOC doesnt want to know about it
@@JesseTraill I've never done the track but to me it looks like there is way too much water on the track. The local clubs or groups like this need to get up there and cut that water off the track and within a summer it would improve the trails conditions hugely. continuing like this and it will be like the Thompsons track in no time.
Not enough tracks , too much pressure , muppets chewing it up more in the wet …… , no one stopping and draining the water…… little wonder we have lost most of the North Island tracks ….
@@jonohitchcox6433 there use to be culverts along the track in 20 years I never had an issue even during heavy rain or snow. Then people started coming up and ripping it up. Look at the other clips on RUclips from 10 years ago. This has only become a recent issue. Past the hut it use to be the worst where the culverts had blown out. The tracks ruined from people wheel spinning because they're in the wrong gear or their Tyre pressure isn't right. Half these drivers are laughing as they're fanging it, not thinking that every time someone does it makes the track more mushy. The track never even use to be that steep, where the "gunshot" is there was a slight gradient and it had a culvert there....now it's undriverable for 95% of vehicles. Pretty selfish if you ask me, why would doc fix it when people will just continue to wreck it? Hopefully they lock the Gate and it just reverts back to bush. People can go to north range road and ruin that more, even that's buggered from 25 years ago when I first went over it.
Have to love the facial expressions and commentary hahahaha. Don, the rear bar on the Paj looks legend.

Hey mate awesome track. Im abit clueless and just wondering how youd pkssibly break a cv? Is it because of the increased travel in modified suspension
