Shame the DB5 is going to retire soon. I hope Lego make more Bond cars for future releases like the Lotus Esprit or Aston Martin Vanquish, or even a full 007 theme if possible.
European (German) investment perspective here: Gotta disagree on several points: Haunted House: Might be a winner, if it was a Haunted House proper and/or modular compatible. As a ferry building with a rather boring, error-prone function, I don't really see this one on the list, especially not that high, even though I'm attached to gothicish subcultures myself. Also took a long time for this set to sell out, despite heavy discounts. Gunship: Saw many discounts and is still available while Ferrix (a sleeper IMO, but I might be wrong, as I'm biased on this one, totally loved the show) and Scythe, 2 sets I definitely would have put on the list, have long sold out over here in Europe. Blacksmith: Even though I only acquired 2 of this set, I expect this one to be the no 1 investment by far. Not necessarily percentage-wise, but by accretion per piece. Colosseum: I don't necessarily disagree, but I want to point out that it is still available in Europe (5 per customer on top of that). Horizon Forbidden West: Was heavily discounted (40%) all the time over here. Even though it has been highly praised, the market for this one should be completely saturated. 3 sets which should have at least been honourably mentioned: Ninjago Dojo Temple (you no longer can get this set below MSRP anywhere here, even though you could get it for 30-40% until the end of November, the demand for this one is incredibly high), Friends Treehouse and Friends Theatre, 2 highly popular sets which parents will continue to want as Christmas presents for their children.
Great list, ❤ I love the Bookshop! It was my first Modular and it brought me back to collecting so I highly recommend to anyone. The blue house in the set is where I currently reside in my Lego city. Have you thought about making a sig fig for yourself? Also an idea that came to my head for the green space across the water is maybe a botanical garden space or farm with farmer’s market 🌾🌷. I Can’t wait to see you get the blacksmith!
Thank you! No I didn’t even think about making a sig fig for me 😬 That’s a good idea! A botanical garden would be nice! I also thought about a farm or a playground over there. I wanted to out the blacksmith there, but might be too big 😬😅
I’ve been collecting for about 1 1/2 years. We switched from collecting football cards to Lego. I wanted something that my son and I could do together :) Wow! 20+ years? That’s awesome! I bet your collection looks amazing! You’ll have to follow me on Instagram and shoot me pictures. I love seeing other peoples collections!
Bird of Paradise is a sneaky play
I don’t disagree. There are so many good sets that are retiring at the end of this year. Good call!

Agreed! I love the themed speed champions sets. I can’t wait to see what they come out with next :) I’m a huge fan of the DB5.
