have the same minor hiss with my hookup... did not use the additional harness and used B cable to the subwoofer. everything works good but getting the minor hiss. thanks for exploring this.
Hi Joseph, what did you do ? I'm having the same issue. When I hook up the amplified harness, my audio is low, but the bass is there. When I remove the amplified harness, the audio comes back, but my bass suffers. How did you get the bass to work?
I've now gone through two D8 radios. Both had no audio until (first radio) the radio was hard-rebooted. (Second radio) The volume was turned up at least 11 clicks. Obviously I can't hard-boot the radio every time I get in the car. And cranking the volume every time I get in is also a pain. Third time's a charm?
Hi, my mechanic installed the dynavin 9 on my Mustang 2014, everything works perfectly but the interior lamps are flushing always, if I free the button it stays on but I cant't switch them off. Do you please have an idea about this issue?
I got the unit today and I’m still experiencing the buzzing sound I followed all the instructions unplugged the amp wire that equals no sound did the amp retention unit still a buzz took the amp retention wire off still a low buzz my old car stereo did not do that it’s very frustrating
Yeah I did but what I did was made sure when I installed it was make sure it was dead silent when I installed it in its place since the rcas aren’t really a snug fit on the back of the radio
Hello Matt, this video helped me fix my white noise or buzz issue and my sub woofers work perfect now and everything sounds great!! I have an observation. It seems to me that the volume on my Dynavyn 8 is the same from around 60% up to 100% and doesn't go as loud as my stock radio. Do you happen to know how to make this go as loud as my stock radio? Any thoughts on that? Thanks for the video!
Hi Jonathan, I have not experienced this issue with my system. I recommend contacting the Dynavin tech support team, they are very good and usually get back to you within a few hours. They have always had a solution for my problems. Good luck, and have a great day!
@@dinopallasigui5284 I do not know. I would contact Dynavin tech support with that question, the are very helpful and have a great turnaround time. Good luck.
I have a quick question. I recently installed the backup camera that came with this and the backup camera image is reverse. Like if I put a water bottle on the right side the camera will show it on the left side of the camera. Is there a fix for this? Thanks
There should be a mirror image switch on the wire harness, if not there may be wire loop that can be cut. The cameras are designed this way so they can be placed on the front or back of the vehicle.
I disconnected this horness and the audio stopped working at all. Any Idea why? This noise is really annoying. Im in touch with Dynavin support but no solution so far. Any hints will be appreciated.
Did you ever resolve this issue? I'm in the same boat. I have shaker500 and get the hiss with 9000 harness. If I use the retention harness, hissing stops but audio stops working... If I unplug that 3rd connector, hissing stops again, but same thing: no audio Pretty upset seeing as it's nearly a grand for this radio.
Just tried out video for the first time, and it looks like I have the same issue with jerky video. If I can find a solution to this problem, I will reply to this message again with an update.
Hi, I have the OEM subwoofer inside and I want it to work, but then I also get this noise, if I disconnect the plug like you did, it's gone too, but that's not the point. The noise only comes when the radio is off and you turn on the light or the ceiling light is on then the noise is back? Is there a solution? Greetings from 🇩🇪
@@mattsautomotivechannel my volume and skip doesn’t work and I tried to get them to work but nothing seems to do anything I got the voice control to pull up Siri in car play but that’s it
Sounds reasonable, however door subs are still working and there was no audible difference in bass or overall sound. Just as much bass as with the original factory unit which is quite good.
@@mattsautomotivechannel Glad to hear yours is working. I have a 2012 shaker 500 and if i disconnect harness 3 i get no output on subs. I cannot use the retention harness either. I guess the 2012 is wired differently. It is a great upgrade option.
Ok guys. It's been a while for you, but I just installed this in my 2010 with shaker1000. With the extra harnass the sound was just terrible, so I left it out. With the small harnass unplugged I have no subs, so it's plugged in. Ther are 2 RCA's coming from that smaller harnass. I put one into the sub jack on the HU. Gave me a big humming sound. Then I accidently touched the other RCA and it had a big influence on the humming. It needs ground I think, so I plugged it into an open jack on the HU. Humming is gone. I wonder what the second RCA is for? On the wiring diagram it's a dead end.
Why does everyone keep buying this head unit? It is expensive, slow and has the worst screen of any of these options! You can't see anything if it's sunny outside and God forbid you touch the screen! Am I wrong?
Hey Matt, just got the unit shipped today. Thank you so much for covering any issues and doing a great job of the process
i wish i could LIKE this multiple times, this has saved me so much headache. THANKS!
So far so good, just be sure to download and install any current firmware updates. Good Luck!
Hey, today I received my device and it will be installing next Sunday. Thank you for your tips and best regards from Poland!

yep. having issues with mine too. made a whole video about it. safe to say i'm getting a warranty exchange. already in the process
Very helpful information. I also have a 2010 gt500 and can't find much info on audio upgrades on these cars. Thank you.

Just the video I needed thank you
I'm considering ordering one of these. How is yours working out?
For the Noise you need a mass separation filter! I Fix it🥳 I think every who has a Oem Subwoofer you need that. 10-12$
Please the link to the page where they sell that radio.
how do you control your dual climate control after installing that headunit?

How did you integrate the factory back up camera? Installed mine here in manila and wasnt able to make it work😩
The back up camera on this car is an aftermarket as this car did not come with a factory one.
Would you know how to integrate the factory back up camera?🙏

Also does this Dynavin Triggers any DTC code?

So no battery drain ?
Nope, when car goes into sleep mode which takes a few minutes after shutting the car down, no more battery drain.
That's all you did was disconnect your amplifier to your subs in the front so they don't work anymore.
Subs still work without this connector. I know, strange.
