*I did something similar to a woman a few summers ago, she locked her dog in her car on a 100 degree day with the window cracked enough to fit only 1 finger thru.. she was parked in front of a nail salon so i went inside & asked if anyone owned the car with a dog in it, she said yes thats my car . i told her she needed to get the dog out immediately but she then refused stating she wasnt going to miss her nail appointment because the dog would be fine staying in the car (it visibly wasnt, you could see it about to heat stroke). right in the middle of the salon i gave her an ultimatum.. i said i either smash your window out in the next 10 seconds & wait for the police to arrive OR you leave your stupid nail appointment to take the dog home .. needless to say, she left & took the dog home.. felt bad for the dog having her as an owner..*

It’s called common sense. If you don’t have that level of common sense you shouldn’t own a car, a dog, or have a drivers license.
Just fyi never give a dog water when they are panting that hard. Can cause bloat and kill your dog. Dogs won’t die from not drinking water for a couple hours but will definitely die from bloat
