Money= Something that people need to live. That's the world we live in. They tried being super successful with their old sound and they weren't going anywhere. It was ether change their sound to something corporate that sells more or quit the band and get real jobs, and who the hell wants that?

They put out numerous records before "Heartthrob", they were doing fine. Sure, maybe they weren't rich, but they were definitely doing well, and by well I mean making more than the average middle class citizen by a decent margin. You're right though, it's probably a bid for more fame and/or money, which is sad. I know their 'hardcore' fans don't want to hear any of this, but it's how I feel about the music they're making. That really wasn't my impression at all. I kinda figured it was all a hark back to their childhood. The decorations in the house, the clothing, the pillow forts, etc all kinda remind me of what i think are the late 80's early 90's. To me it wasn't them having a sleepover at 32, but the extras in the background who are probably meant to be much younger acting like they would around that age.
