This has been one of the most helpful and concise videos I have ever watched. Thank you.
Kim explained everything perfectly. Thank you
In the beginning of my quilting journey, rulers made me feel like I could quilt and gave me the confidence to free motion. I still live using rulers too.
Clear, concise, and informative video. Very helpful
Most beautiful! This is a great little video and great resource. I have a Moxie. Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for the tips. I am a self taught long armer, never had a class. You have shown me lots of things. I really enjoy watching!!
Great video for understanding tension! Thanks for all the examples - tension too loose, too tight... what the bobbin tension test looks like, even exactly where to put that drop of oil!!! - my machine thanks you (it's humming sooo much better)!
Very helpful
Hello from Homeworth, Ohio
I think that using same colour thread top and bottom hides minor tension issues, but it does not make better tension. I use pretty much only cream or light grey bobbin thread no matter what colour the top. Yes, that means I have to be more careful to ensure correct tension. But it makes for much prettier backs.
I don’t match the threads either… works for me
Hello, Could u help me please? My sit down machine is stuck and will not sew. It beeps when I try. Any help will be much appreciated Thanks in advance.
It is best to reach out to your local retailer or to call in to Handi Quilter technical support.
Why do you use the same color of thread top and bottom?
It hides minor tension issues. It doesn't actually affect tension, imho
Even with great tension, there are times where the bobbin will show on the top or vice versa. Having the same color top and bottom will hide those spots!
When you're checking tension on a quilt load on the frame, how do you see underneath? For me when it's loaded, it's pretty secure and i find myself crawling on the floor with a flashlight. 2 problems with that is I have a small space and I'm 65 and getting back up is a challenge! 😮😮
Some people use their phone to take pictures of the bottom or others use a mirror. You can also try tightening your tension so that the bobbin appears on the top and then reducing the tension until it settles into the quilt sandwich.
@HandiQuilter so generally the top tension is ok? I know that's what you see on the bottom.
I would rather that she explained what she was doing, rather than sub-titles.
Cut the music!
I really wish video makers would dump the annoying, repetitive canned music. It is so distracting and doesn't add anything.
I agree
It is just too Loud.
What you rather have? Silence? There's large parts where there's no voice over or talking. You need something there lol. It's not even that loud. I was able to hear the presenter clearly.
@@hrothgarnogar silence wound be just fine. When there is no voice over or talking, there is usually machine running. What's wrong with that?
Good video I just wish the text wasn’t white on a white machine. I just bought a Moxie and appreciate any tips from your channel. Thanks.
