Infertility - At 37, Mapula Ndou was told she'll never bear children. With IVF not covered by public hospitals, Mapula and her husband find themselves on the painful and costly journey of IVF and getting an egg donor.
Mapula used her story to start a #WEAREWOMANTOO campaign and through it, she gives support to other women who are shunned by society for not being able to bear children.

However, @sabc please amend your blurb, as 3 x public hospitals in South Africa do indeed have fertility units. Steve Biko, Tyberberg and Groote Schuur, It is not enough for sure but, you make it sound like there are none #sabcnews

Yhooooo this has been the toughest journey for me, thank ous' Mapula for sharing your story.
I relate, 7 attempts to ivf ( with only 1 success which i later miscarried)
Various tests and no issues found, i am torn.
Keeping it all in is literally killing me. I have created such a distance with my in-laws mainly because of insecurities 😢😢😢😢 kuningi 😢😢😢😢

Honestly, I don't see why any woman would want to get pregnant. Pregnancy puts a lot of strain on a woman's body, and it is very dangerous, and it has a lot of risks, and a pregnancy lasts 9 months. Also, childbirth is very painful. And also, raising children is very hard.
Personally, I think being childfree would be a lot better than having children.
