I was amazed at how long The Sith and Jedi page was when I started studying Legends Lore. My God, I thought I'd spend my youth reading it to full but it definitely took me about an hour. Especially after clicking on specific things in the paragraphs.

Nobody denies you the access to the EU. Disney even re-released thousands of Legends Books, Novels, Comics etc. that where out of stock for literally years.
Also the new Canon has some totally awesome books, novels and comics that werent possible when Lucas would still own Star Wars. AND finally the "offical Canon" makes sense. Something Lucas didn't achieved because he gave everyone and everything a shot at making star wars content.
Legends has some pure diamond content but also some serious bullshit.

There was an action figure made of Darkhole's stormtroopers that was really cool. It was the first time that I ever heard of his name and I haven't bothered to look into him until now. Very interesting backstory. It seems like he is one of the very few characters to have been brought from the old '70s comics into the old Expanded Universe.
As one of EL’s most dedicated fans, I have to say the intro is truly a masterful one!! I never grow tired of EL’s RUclips vids. I’d have never known of Lord Blackhole if not for Eckhart’s Ladder.
Given the intentional unreliable narration in Shadows of Mindor I feel like adding "OR DID HE?" to the end would be worthwhile.

Rex, easy. Republic has bigger and better developed armed forces, especially navy. Yes, it's ironic that we talk about SW faction as an example of good military, but the only time Halo cared to expand beyond it's corridors in proper way was Halo Wars series. Books are usually combination of dumbest rule of cool ideas which aren't in any way consistent to each other(have I just described Forerunner books or EU?). So as far as I understand, clones under Rex's command come to somewhere near draw with ODSTs under Johnson, but then Republic navy that had destroyed UNSC one would just bomb their position.
Or do you mean 1v1? Is it taking into account original badass Johnson or castrated "Spartan I" Johnson that had everything great about him destroyed with shitty off camera claim because normal humans can't be badass in Halo anymore?

Can you do the Gray Paladins from coruscant nights? They're a Jedi faction that used blasters and other weapons one was so good that she was able to send one of her own bolts straight up an enemy's blaster barrel. They also believed in using the force as little as possible so they focused on other skills like martial arts and military tactics like guerrilla warfare, urban tactics, espionage, and infiltration.
Yo... I just looked these guys up. I never knew that there existed such a group, if even only in ancillary media. That's actually very cool, especially since this lines up perfectly with some of my views on the Force and a basis for a couple personal characters that I've had.

I have a theory that Blackhole may have corrupted Palpatine's clones somewhat before Palpatine could be reborn. Blackhole's mission to bring total darkness to the galaxy was more in keeping with the Dark Empire's wanton destruction than Palpatine's overt megalomania. I remember the book Shadows of Mindor stating that Shadowspawn liked Palpatine's maneuvers until he tried to rule and create, rather than destroy. In legends, Blackhole is apart of the Dark Empire as well. I could see him taking steps to alter how the return of Palpatine comes to fruition, much like Carnor Jax and Lumiya did. While the Dark Empire's actions still had some of Palpatine's earlier goals in mind, I see the annihilation of worlds and armies before and during the conflict to be more of Blackhole's style than Palpatine's.

I haven't read Shadows of Mindor, can anyone tell me why people say its just a holodrama? Does it contradict something that makes it not fit in the legends timeline?
It's how the story is structured. It starts with Luke talking with a biographer, and wanting to clear up the propaganda around him.
By the end of the story, he reprimands the guy for doing a whole bunch of outlandish things with the story, and he decides he'll sell more with a BS story about Luke then a factual one.
The events happened, but it's left uncertain if it was completely accurate.
