I know this was a couple years ago, but this doesn’t make much sense. The dual synch should be able to line up with cylinder one just by rotating it physically 45° at a time. That would eliminate backing up the firing order to start on 2 instead of 1. What am I missing? I really enjoyed all the details on getting the AEM Infinity to do its thing, thanks!

They MS forums had some good info, kind of my go to in any platform for finding solutions because at the end of the day you pretty much done the same thing no matter what ecu

I ran into the same problem as you with the timing light not showing anything while cranking and I first solved it by taking a sparkplug and grounding it to the header. Making the spark jump a longer distance actually triggered the timing light. But what I didnt know at the time was that the reason that i had that problem in the first place was because that even tough my crank sensor was working (according to the trigger oscilloscope in maxxecu) the signal still was not good enough as the engine still wouldnt start without backfiring.
I first went with a crank sensor from a Volvo 940 (b230 engine) which it was backfiring with. I then swapped to a crank sensor from a BMW E36 which has a much stronger magnet inside it. And that actually solved the backfiring issue once and for all. All sensors was brand new and not used i should add. By switching to the BMW crank sensor I also solved the problem with the timing light not being able to trigger during crank.
My coils come from a LQ4 engine and since I also have a LQ4 engine in my 56 bel air in working order I decided to try and see if the timing light would actually trigger during crank on the original setup so to say. And yes it actually triggers during crank on a original LQ4. That made me question the Volvo crank sensor and thats why I went with the one from the BMW.
    My setup is as follows:
GM 4.3L V6 evenfire (GMC Typhoon)
    MaxxEcu engine management
    60-2 crank trigger wheel.
    BMW e36 crank sensor.
Holley cam sensor plug (instead of distributor)
    LQ4 square truck coils

Is it possible to use a dual sync distributor with a LS 0411 (non-coil near plug) pcm? I’m running a small block with a stealth ram. I’m running the 4x crank wheel and a stock vortec distributor. The issue is that the goofy vortec distributor hits the stealth ram plenum, not allowing for any adjustment. A small bodied distributor would help a ton.

Great stuff bro! I’m looking to do this on my 383 stroker with tpi, currently running fast ezefi multiport retro kit kit but no tuning available on it and it runs rich! I’m looking at big stuff 3 gen 3 ecu at the moment, is this a good choice? Motor makes 500hp and I plan to spray it(it’s set up for it)

went term x cnp lsx heat sink coils and dual sync, everythings hooked up correctly, and have fuel pump control through ecu and i have no rpm signal, what could be my issue? did correctly install dual sync 50 deg btdc on compression stroke, any help is appreciated!

can you simplify for me, running dual sync old school sbc terminator x and cnp lsx coils, hooked up and installed correctly, from the dual sync to the harness, no rpm signal, what could be my issue?
