I think the decoys throwing fake boomerangs that have all the same visual effects but none of the actual function would be good.... your enemies would try just as hard to dodge them as they do yours since they don't know which is which
Like that thought but feels like that would be even more confusing due to possible character orientations as it's already confusing(at least for the Stumpt crew) as it is now.
Decoy is a good start, but they really need to A) make it look exactly like player (shield, powerups, etc), B) move more like a player (probably hard AI movement would be enough, and C) Throws fake boomerangs. Only then would it actually be useful as a distraction.
I think they should make it so that decoy does throw boomerangs or try to kill people but they should make it so that the boomerang will always miss and they will always fail to hit the person.
I’d love for decoy to give you a second chance at life, so even if you die, it your decoy is alive, you can switch to that body. It would have to be a one time thing every match, I think.
I think Decoy is a big brain item, like Telekinesis. If you use it in conjunction with the "Disguise" ability you can kinda fool people into thinking you're dead when the clone inevitably dies. Also if you discard your boomerangs before cloning they can't tell you apart. Even with these strategies it's a bit too big brained and a bit underwhelming.
I think that the decoy is pretty fantastic. I'd say the prevailing way of using it would to attempt to blend in with its simplistic movements by acting simple yourself.
I do hope they keep updating the game and improve on decoy You know I think there might be enough construction hats unlocked for a construction only episode? (take original banana down from the inside 😉)
I feel like decoy is basically Mirage from Apex Legends, high risk high reward. You guys can bamboozle the heck out of each other with it... except for Rik though, he doesn't seem to like decoy meaning he's probably gonna be bad using it.

Or make it so u could switch bettewn decoys,like which one is u and which one is fake,so u could switch out when u are about to be killed.

Feel like disguise and decoy would be a good combo, you could hide after deploying the decoy, and possibly confuse people.
I've done this, it's only a little funnier than just disguising yourself and the other player doesn't know where you are.

I think it’d be cool if decoy worked more like a shield where if either one of you dies you become the other one
If they make Decoy throw phantom boomerangs that don’t hit, but scare the opponent it would work a lot better.
Maybe to make decoy better the decoy throws fake boomerangs to panic people. Like, they can't kill, but it can go through the person or something.

The amouny of times i have used decoy and disguise on my brothers and tricked them that i was dead was immaculate
