    A TIP36C has a max. power of 125W. Thus: 2 X TIP36C = max. 250W. And 250W : 50A = 5V. This means that only with a voltage drop of 5V, this is able to produce 50A under ideal circumstances. I would not exceed 10A. In case of 10A you certain needs a fan to cool down the cooling plate. It is also important to connect a resistor in each base of the transistors (e.g. 3.3 ohm 0.5W). This avoid that only one transistor does all the work in case of different HFe.

      @@chilledoutpaul Using 2X 2N3055 wouldn't work because these are NPN transistors, while a TIP36C is a PNP transistor. The MJ2955 (PNP) is complementair to 2N3055, but has a max. current rate of 15A, while the TIP36C has a max. current of 25A. You achieve almost the same power capacity if you would use 3X MJ2955.

      @@anmeirdi Hi yes I did see your reply about the pnp, sorry I did not notice the tip36's was a pnp, i went to the 3055 as the normal high current alternative but yes the mje 2955 would have been the correct transistor or even a p channel mossy as they work on a low current to activate

      Arkadaş cevaplamamış ben cevaplayayım. Bu devreden 30 amper, 50 amper filan alamazsınız. Her voltajda veremez. Sadece giren voltajla çıkan voltaj yakınsa o zaman 12 ampere yakın bir sonuç alabilirsiniz. O da ısınır.
      Misal 13 volt verip 2 volt 10 amper bile çekerseniz çok ısınır.
      30 amper diye abartmış arkadaş.
      Lm317'ye gelince evet yerine lm7812'de olur. İkisi aynı güçte zaten ama ama LM7812 sabit voltaj regülatörüdür. Yani sabit 12 volt verir.
      Ground'a bir ayarlı direnç bağlarsanız 12v ve üstü alabilirsiniz ama 12v altını vermez.
      Full ayarlı için lm317 olmalıdır.

      Hocam bu devre sağlıklı çalışmaz tıp 36 mosfet çok ısınıyor giriş 12v verirsen çıkış 5v kullanırsak devre ısıdan dolayı patlar buşuna kimse masraf etmesin
      İrfz44 yapılan voltaj regülatörü çok sağlıklı çalışıyor ihtiyacı olan o devreyi kullanabilirler videoları RUclips mevcuttur

      @@yasinakbalk808 Sağlıklı çalışır. Gayet güzel ve sabit bir voltaj da verir. Sağlıklı çalışması başkadır, ısınması başkadır.
      Evet ısınır ama güzel bir soğutucuyla gayet güzel iş görür.
      Tabi güç isteyen işlerde paralel transistörler bağlamak şartı ile.
      Patlama olmaz. Patlama çok zor ve yüksek ısılarda güçlü amper çekildiği zaman olur.
      Tutup da minicik soğutucu kullanıp, devreye 30 volt 30 amper giriş uygulayıp çıkışdan da düşük voltaj 30 amper çekmeye kalkarsanız tabi ısınır ve patlar. Hatta ısınmadan da patlar.
      Böyle güç gerektiren uygulamalar için 8'li, 10'lu transistör seti kullanılmalıdır.
      Bd139 ve Lm317 bu yükü kaldırmaz.
      Devrenin derlenmesi gerekir.
      Irfz44n kullanılan ve bu şekilde yapılmış amper ayarlı bir güç kaynağı devresi yoktur.
      Opamp ve amper ölçümü için şönt direnci gereklidir.
      Bu şekilde BD139 ile filan amper ayarı mosfetlerde olmaz.
      Çünkü mosfetler gate ucundan akım çekmezler.

      PNP ile de olur ama devrenin değişmesi gerekir.
      Burda NPN devresi kullanılıp PNP transistör takılmış.
      İlginç gerçekten.

    Só consegui uma regulagem precisa da tensão de saída com um POT de 5K e outro de 470R, em série, para um ajuste fino.

    Buenas tardes un saludo desde venezuela. Primeramente mis felicitaciones por su prollecto muy entendido y facil de hacer exitos en sus demas proyecto que dios le siga dando mas sabiduria e inteleigencia. Bueno amigo mi pregunta es la sigue te ! Si toca las 2 puntas de la salida se quemaria el circuito o alguno de los transistores ? Ya que no le veo un sistema de protecion contra cortocircuito es lo unico que le aria falta a este proyecto espero su respuesta gracias buen dia exitos en sus proyectos...

    Hasta éste momento no he podido encontrar alguien que haga una fuente regulable que pueda soportar un taladro de 12 voltios que no tiene batería he probado ese tipo de fuentes con radios de carro y luz de 12 voltios utilizando 4 transistores como el 2n3055 y transformador grande de gran amperaje el problema es que al final termina dañando el regulador y los transistores. Tuve que hacer una fuente sin regulación y de esta forma todo bien. Me gustaría saber su opinión. Gracias.

    the incoming power voltage should exceed the output by at most 3vdc at all times to maintain good regulation. build the input supply according to transistors dissipation in worst case situation when a lower voltage operates at high currents

    50 ампер??? Хахахаааах, смешно! Твой вариант выдаст максимально 8-10 ампер, а дальше закипит радиатор! Для 50 ампер необходим радиатор в 10 раз крупнее, либо очень мощное воздушное охлаждение, да и ТИП36 не отдаёт долго-временно токи в 25 ампер! Так что - этот твой вариант - это 8 ампер! 🥸

      Вообще заметил автор завышает свои самоделки, что преобразователи так и регуляторы напряжения раз так в десять. Инвертор умудряется на двух транзисторах собрать аж на целых пять киловатт. 😁

      25А долговременно она вам выдаст разве что на жидком азоте.

      To get 50 Amps output you need 50amps input you can not magically increase current without sacrificing voltage. To get 30v and 50amps output you must input 30v and 50amps though I doubt this circuit could handle 50amps without getting too hot lol. The only thing this circuit can do is allow you to control the current and voltage and ajust them to be constant and independent from each other.

    Não funciona. No simulador dá erro porque o capacitor está em loop direto.

    If that is a 55W bulb, I’m God. It looks to me like 5W. The comments already speeks for themselves… with all respects, you do mis a lot of things. I made a 40A lineaire PS some 30 years ago. I put 8 end transistors in it, drawing 8A of base current, forced cooling end a motor driven variac in front of it to keep the dissipation under control. My max voltage over the end transistors, independent off output voltage was never higher than 10V thanks to the automatic stepper motor driven variac (all diy). Compare to this it is a dinosaur but does the job (still) as designed.

    I tried this circuit but it doesn't work. It regulates only from 8v to 9v on a 10v power supply. This frustrated me. However it works with tip35 but with the correct wiring !!!!

    Esta mal. Hay que colocar dos resistores, caso contrario un solo transistor toma toda la corriente mientras que el otro queda en estado pasivo. No funciona asi, se quema. La regla es para cualquier circuito con transistores en paralelo. Hay que poner una resistencia en cada colector.

    Hello,
    Lm 317 linear voltage regulator is too stable, it doesn't work, it converts the drawn current into heat, it suffers power losses, I don't recommend it. Instead, lm2596 feedback, switched regulator with const. Modify Current Regulator. Available on my channel.

    Allora: non e’ stabilizzato (manca la retroazione).
    La potenza e’ esagerata.
    Funziona al contrario!!!😃
    Per avere 0V ( sul collettore del tip), il 317, deve dare in uscita una tensione pari a Vin e, per avere una tensione (sul collettore del tip) vicina a Vin,
    il 317 dovra’ avere in uscita una tensione pari a Vin-0,6/0,7… ecco perche’ i movimenti micrometrici del potenziometro!😄
    Ma come ti e’ venuto in mente?!?!

    You owe us the proof that it works with 50A. I would be interested in how you want to get the power loss at low voltages under control.
    The TIP36C will have a hard and short life in that area.
