Puyallup PD Gets Flocked

The Puyallup Police Department recently purchased new technology that will allow it to keep the community safe and help aid in investigations, especially related to stolen vehicles. The technology is called FLOCK Safety, a series of cameras mounted to poles in strategic locations around the city. The systems, which are known in the law enforcement field as ALPRs (Automated License Plate Readers), can read license plates and determine, within seconds, whether or not the vehicle is stolen.
