Elton's voice has stood the test of time. Simply phenomenal.
Just saw him live for first time and I absolutely agree!!! I was blown away.
He doesn't overstress it and try to go to the ends of his range like those singers whose voices do not age well. He stays where he's comfortable and that's smart.

I thoroughly recommend Elton’s autobiography. He worked so hard for many years to become a ‘star’. I would have given up, he had so many knock backs. A story of hard work and determination.

When he is on stage, it’s like he invited the world into his living room. Never has a performer been so at ease with his life. It’s his world and he is letting us share it with him. Amazing human being.
His voice brings me so much comfort. His songs where always on the radio in the 80’s when I was a kid. I’m so happy that he was able to have one, more SMASH hit before retiring. Those lil runs he does are so beautiful and haunting.

I grew up during the same time. I've been a big fan since the early '70s. He has aged his career so gracefully, and now he is giving back by helping young artists. He truly is an amazing human being. Madonna should take a few lessons from Elton on how to let go of ego and give back.
