Dimash's first singing classes were "learned" inside her mother's womb since she's a great soprano.

Languages in which Dimash sang, updated version:
    1. Kazakh
    2. Russian
    3. French
    4. English
    5. Ukrainian
    6. Serbian
    7. Turkish
    8. Chinese (Mandarin dialect)
    9. Chinese (Cantonese dialect)
    10. Italian
    11. Italian (Sicilian dialect)
    12. Spanish
    13. Japanese
    14. Armenian
    15. Kyrgyz
    16. German
He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian and improved his English quite well. The lyrics for songs in other languages he learns phonetically.
SOS is part of the rock opera „Starmania“.
Dimash studied classical singing, contemporary singing and composition with master degree. Right now he is working on his PhD in musicology. He started singing and playing piano at a music school at the age of 5.
Dimash doesn’t fit into a specific genre because he sings opera just as jazz or pop or anything else. He even raps. He himself calls his most used style „neoclassical“. And he loves to combine different genres in one song. Crossover.

You seem to not know that Dimash has a masters degree in music. He has had opera training. He was offered a job at the local opera theater, which he refused because he wanted to sing what he called,”neo-classical “ music. Dimash also sing folk songs from Kazakhstan. His mother is an opera singer, his father sings, his grandmother used to sing, his sister sings, his brother composes music at 16. 😊

Dimash is son of a soprano and a famous pop singer in Kazakhstan, he has absolute pitch, he has studied music and singing since he was 5 years old, he graduated in lyrical and contemporary singing (he was offered to sing as a tenor in the Astana opera, but he preferred to pursue a career as a popular singer ), has a master's degree in musical composition, is doing a doctorate in musicology, multi-instrumentalist (plays 8 instruments perfectly), sings in 13 languages and reaches you directly to the soul in any of them, has a register of 7.7 octaves ! He says that his thing is 1% gift and 99% hard work, and despite everything his Dears (that's what he calls his fans, because he considers them his family) his fame and talent, he is a super person. humble, honest and generous, he loves his family, his elders and children, his homeland and the traditions of his people, of which he is an ambassador and has been named “People's Artist” on two occasions (the last one in October 2023 ), loves his Dears. He is a philanthropist, he donates much of the proceeds from his concerts to the needy and noble causes, fighting for peace in the world. To continue singing what he likes (folklore from his country, neoclassical music), he has not dealt with any record company and is independent. He has never abandoned a concert, not in pouring rain, not sick (he has sung with a fever), not having lost a friend or his grandfather, he does not abandon his Dears, that's why we love him unconditionally!!! Lots of astute comments from Lady Beard! The k-pop look was born in January 2017 when Dimash was in China for the program Singer 2017, and his team gave him a makeover that would appeal to Chinese viewers. The first episode featured this very song: SOS d’un terrien en détresse. It blew up overnight online, and within 24 hours, his Weibo account gained 2.4 million followers. That’s how Dimash knew he was famous 😂😂😂 The rest is history. By the way Singer is very different from talent show such as The Voice or AGT. The contestants are all established award-winning singers, and there are no judges. Instead each one of the 500 people in the audience gets three votes. The show you mentioned, The World’s Best was a CBS program which could have launched Dimash in the US. However, by the semifinals, when Dimash found that he was to compete against children, he made the decision to give up the million-dollar prize and withdraw from the competition so the children would have a chance to win. He believes strongly in supporting and nurturing children and one of the contestants was a little girl from Kazakhstan who looked up to him as a mentor.
The show, by the way, was not worth watching. They chopped his performances to less than half their original length, making it look very unprofessional.
Ever since then, he stopped taking part in contests, and established his own company, Dimashali.
Yes, he moved his place of residence to Los Angeles, but still flies all over the world for his activities. Recently he was in China appearing in a number of Chinese New Year programs, and in Hungary as a judge in the Virtuosos, where by the way he met other luminaries from the world of classical music, so he also performed a number with Hauser, a duet with Placido Domingo, and a chorus piece with the other judges, just as a bonus for viewers.

I would say that you can usually trust the comments of the Dears regarding Dimash. Some know more than others, so there will be some errors, but if they are very blatant errors, another Dear will generally kindly correct them in the comment. Dimash first became very famous in China during the Singer show. He says that he woke up after the first episode aired and he had a body guard at his door. He says they both sort of looked at each other wondering why the guard was there! Dimash says he still remembers the face of his very first Chinese fan that came up to him that day. I guess that was when he felt famous. 🇨🇦

This song is from the 1976 StarMania rock opera, a collab between a french composer Michel Berger and a french canadian (quebecois) song writer Luc Plamondon.
    Lyrics:
Why do I live, why do I die?
Why do I live, why do I cry?
Here is the SOS of a man in distress
I've never had both feet upon the ground
    I'd rather be a bird
I don't fit into this skin
I'd like to see the world turned upside down
    If ever it were beautiful
It's lovelier from above, from above
    I've always confused life
    with the comic strips
    Even wished I could transform
    I feel something
    That draws me
    That draws me
    That draws me up
Into the great lotto of the universe
I don't have the right numbers
I don't fit into this skin
    I don't want to be a robot
    Eating, working, sleeping
Why do I live, why do I die
Why do I live, why do I cry
    I think I'm catching waves
    From another world
I've never had both feet upon the ground
    I'd rather be a bird
I'd like to see the world turned upside down
    I'd rather be a bird
    Sleep, child, sleep

Great reaction, Baby beard was genuinely interested to know about Dimash, but I’m afraid after all these reactions you are a little bit confuse about his bio … Hope this helps to introduce Dimash to your guests: he is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition. He started his doctorate in Musicology. He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respectfully turned it down to pursue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 15 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. His father is a producer and his mother is a soprano, his younger brother is a musician too.!❤️🎤🔝🔝👏👏👏👏

No mention of his spectacular range? Dimash is classically trained from a young age, as well as having studied pop, jazz and traditional music. His operatic voice is more than good enough to hold water with the likes of Placido Domingo. His parents are both famous entertainers in Kazakhstan with his mother having a beautiful soprano voice. Apart from some DNA and parental support, Dimash has honed his tool for over 20 years. By now you should know enough about Dimash to give your guests an accurate profile to peak their curiosity, since your channel is gaining quite some popularity😊. SOS is a cover of a famous song from the French/Canadian rock opera dating back to 1978.

In connection with his supposedly entering the New York Film Academy, I learned that he passed the scholarship to others. I assume that one of the major reasons why he had to give up that scholarship was lack of time as he had many commitments. Other than the attention needed to accomplish his dream of getting a doctorate degree in music, I have also seen him performing in China from time to time.

You guy's are getting into a groove! Are these in order of filming? LadyBeard is a great guest. I was expecting the goofiness that he's famous for but he's also very knowledgeable and down to earth. Now some Japanese music 🎉. Even though it's Monday I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow. 😮

Don't you think that you should know a bit more of Dimash? I felt bad for your guest because you actually couldn't supply any information about DIMASH rather than his countries name.

It's nice that you share -- still think you should be wearing headphones and in the case of this particular video - English subtitles on would likely have increased your enjoyment of the meaning/feeling of the song.

Just to interject some information for you. His mother is a Soprano singer of Kazakhstan, So this is probably how he was able to have such a high range to begin with. He can speak 3 languages and sing in 14 languages, he also can play at least 7 instruments (what he's shown), he is a composer, a singer, a performer, a diplomat. He's the Da Vinci of singing of our age. He should be more highly regarded to be honest.

Okay so I've been asking you to react to "The Ultimate Dimash Guide" by LiLaSi a couple of times now since there's a lot for a musician/music lover to talk about,
and while I still would love for that to happen I'm begging you to at least watch the first part(preferably the 2nd too, they're each about 10 min) on your own time
before you react to Dimash again(especially before you introduce him to someone new) because there you'll actually get to hear Dimash himself answer these
questions through relevant clips and interviews instead of just skimming the comments and hoping for the best.

This version do not go as low as the other one we have seen. Or maybe it does and it is the mixing. The instruments are higher in the mix here. I kind of like this version more though. It is more beautiful. I am missing all the middle aged Kazakstan ladies holding signs with Dimash on them :)

Frankly you should know more about Dimash by now your answers to the questions about Dimash were minimum you are stuck on two or three songs where there are more impressive pieces such as stranger try it you might like it.
