      Thank you so much for watching! I have an upcoming tutorial on how to merge two documents. In the meanwhile, the basic steps are to place your cursor in the first document where you want to insert the second document, then select Insert > Object > Text from File. Then, locate the second document in the Insert File dialog box.

      Great question! I don't have a tutorial on how to create a custom cover page in Word for Mac yet. However, I did find this thread from the Microsoft Community website that you may find helpful: answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/how-to-save-a-self-made-cover-sheet-in-word/632b77ca-2de3-43aa-babd-c93489293d2d. @@erinwrightwriting Thanks for responding! It looks pretty cumbersome though. I just put the cover page at the beginning of the document and adjusted the page numbering. Glad you reminded me of the Microsoft Community site. I visited there a lot a couple of years ago when Microsoft totally changed how "Comments" were shown in Review and the blowback was pretty fierce. Microsoft finally capitulated and restored the original "Comment" protocol as an option. The lesson there is never piss off writers and editors. ;-)

    Hi Erin, thank you for the tutorial. However I have a question regarding the cover page. Word automatically puts the cover page on the first page, but is it possible to move the cover page so that it would be on the second page instead?
    Have a nice day!

    • @erinwrightwriting

      Hello, Viktor, thank you for watching! Word generally only allows one cover page at the start of the document. However, you can click inside the cover page and then select Insert > Blank page. This should insert a blank page before the cover page. I have a separate tutorial on working with blank pages that you may find helpful: ruclips.net/video/TU3NmGsYI04/видео.html. Another option is to create a separate Word file that looks like a cover page. You can then insert that file anywhere in another Word file, as shown in my tutorial about inserting one file into another: ruclips.net/video/R9g8UbPdwTQ/видео.html. I wish you all the best with your Word project!

    Hi Erin, I find your MS Word video tutorials very helpful, I am currently editing a large ms word document, which include over 400 x pages of text and tables, Annexes and Appendixes. Using various uTube tutorials including your own I am trying to properly formulate the document, I have managed to include a list of Contents, I have also included chapters, my problem is trying to page number the document especially those pages where tables are concerned and also trying to include Chapter No for instance. As an example: “Appendix 1 to Annex A to Chapter 2” would normally page No like this 2A-1-1, i.e Chapter 2 Annex A Appendix 1 Page 1. Can you help me with this problem.

      Thank you for watching! I don't have a tutorial on that type of complex page numbering construction yet; however, here is an article from Microsoft support. It is older, but you may still find it useful: support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/how-to-number-chapters-appendixes-and-pages-in-documents-that-contain-both-chapter-and-appendix-headings-in-word-2d9a939c-2863-45c3-bf5e-74b32972035d. Hi Erin,
    I created custom cover pages and saved in the cover page Gallery so I can get and use them in my end BUT, WHEN I SENDING THAT CUSTOM WORD TO MY CUSTOMERS, they CANNOT apper the cover pages I created in gallery in there end. Please help me to fix this problem.

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  2 года назад

      Thank you for watching! That is a very interesting question. The styles added to the galleries are only intended for the individual who created them, rather than styles that are attached to individual files that will be shared with others. One solution may be to create a template with your cover style and then have your customers save the template within their own software. I wish you all the best!

    Hello Erin, thank you for the tutorial. I have successfully created a cover page and a set of some other useful pages. I would like to share the template pages with my colleagues so that everybody can use them. When they open the Word document, they cannot see the cover pages I created. I assume they need to reload/implement/launch some kind of cover-pages-add-on or something like that. Opening the word document that I created is simply not enough, the cover pages do not display. Do you have any idea how to share the template with cover pages with other people? That would be very helpful. Thank you!

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  3 года назад

      Thank you for watching! I have been pondering your question all afternoon and can't come up with a reason why your cover page won't display if you saved it in your template. My best suggestion is to save your template under another name, delete the existing cover page, and then add a new one--if the second one does display, there could be a formatting issue or corruption in the original. If you are still having trouble, I encourage you to contact Microsoft Support for assistance. They are generally helpful and will sometimes tell you if there is a known glitch. Best of luck!

    • @slnkomisvieti3183
      @slnkomisvieti3183 3 года назад

      @@erinwrightwriting Thank you for the answer, Erin. I found out the issue was I didn´t save the file correctly. I saved it as Word document and I should have saved it as Word template. Now everything works :-) Have a nice day!

    Is it possible to reduse gap between two sheets in adobe ac

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  3 года назад +1

      In Adobe Acrobat, you can remove (although not reduce) the gap between pages by selecting View, Page Display, and then unchecking "Show Gaps between Pages." Please note that on my laptop (PC, Windows 10), this setting will only change if I am viewing the pages at 100%. If I am viewing the pages at a larger percentage, the setting just won't change for some reason. Best of luck!
